Hi! I’m a final year Dental student at the University of Manchester 🙂 I’ve had lots of experience in tutoring students and prospective students one on one, reviewing personal statements (even if they’re for different courses or courses that are slightly related – e.g. Medicine!), and I’ve provided a lot of Q&A sessions for how I got into Uni and how I got 4/4 of my offers.

I received offers from King’s College London, Queen Mary College, Cardiff University, and the University of Manchester. I come from a socioeconomically deprived area, so I understand how it feels to be in competition for a University spot against others with better luck of the draw. I also have ADHD so I know how it feels to be a neurodivergent student and require slightly different styles and modes of teaching and concentration.

I love working with people and helping them – it’s part of why I want to go into Dentistry! I’d love for a chance to tutor even more people and make sure they’re receiving the best quality education and top personal tips for getting into Uni. Since I’ve worked as a Student Ambassador at UoM, I’ve also received “inside info” on how to ace your interview, and going through so many interviews myself as both the interviewee and the interviewer has given me a lot of experience so I can share all my knowledge with you!

Hi, my name is Ethan — a recent medicine graduate with a bachelor’s degree in medical education.
I know exactly what it takes to get into medical school, because I’ve just been through the entire journey myself. I received offers from Oxford, Imperial, UCL, and Leeds medical schools —meaning I know what it takes to excel in both MMI and traditional panel interviews.
I also have experience teaching undergrad medical students for their UKMLA and OSCE exams.
I graduated from the University of Leeds with an MBChB in medicine and surgery in 2026, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Education. These two degrees combined have given me insight into the current field of medical education, meaning I truly understand how the admissions process works, the qualities that universities really look for in medical students, and, crucially, why things are structured the way they are.
My time studying medical education has also given me a great understanding of how to teach effectively.

Why work with me:

– My Medical Education degree means my methods are built on real educational theory.

– Recent, relevant experience — I sat the admissions tests, wrote personal statements, and faced both MMI and panel interviews only a few years ago, so my advice reflects exactly what admissions teams look for right now.

– Experience coaching international gateway-to-medicine students through the admissions and interview process.

– I have a full year under my belt working with the Medical Education Team at the University of Leeds, teaching medical students directly, alongside presenting my research in the field of Medical education at the International ASME Conference.

– 1+ year tutoring GCSE and A-Level students, with a track record of helping students improve their grades and confidence.

What I offer:

– Personal statement development and editing
– Interview coaching for Oxbridge, MMI and panel formats
– OSCE tuition for current medical students
– UKMLA tuition
– GCSE and A-Level tutoring in science

My availability is flexible, so we can find a schedule that works around your commitments. My approach is structured but still personable — We will work together to identify what needs work, and come up with a plan accordingly, while keeping the process manageable rather than overwhelming.

Having recently walked this exact path, I remember exactly how much pressure you’re under. I’m invested in making this whole process seem less intense, and less alien, so that we can get you to where you want to be.

Don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions : )

Hello!

I’m Kate, and I’ve been teaching English online and in the classroom since I graduated in 2006, when I began my teacher training. I teach KS3, GCSE and A-level English, but my favourite thing is the work I do with students on their Oxbridge English applications, specifically preparing for ELAT and for Mock Interviews. It is such a privilege to learn about the enthusiasms and interests of students who want to go on to read English – and to help develop their confidence and understanding about that process.

My time at Oxford was one of the most enriching of my life, and supporting others on their journey to that experience is a wonderful thing.

Alongside my teaching and academic work, I write YA fiction, amongst other things, and try to keep studying myself; this is, I believe, very. important if teachers are to remember how hard it can be to learn!

I am absolutely dedicated to bringing the best out of my students and I would love to hear from you if you are ready to begin reaching your Oxbridge English goals!
