I’m Lahari Dammala, a third-year medical student at the University of Buckingham, and I’m thrilled at the prospect of guiding you on your path to becoming a healthcare professional. I’ve secured offers from the University of Brunel, UCLan and Buckingham, passing both traditional panel and MMI-style interviews, and I’m eager to share my insights.
As your mentor, I’ll demystify the application process, offer interview preparation, and help you develop the qualities medical schools seek.
With a background in tutoring, I bring strong communication skills to make complex concepts accessible.
My commitment is to support you in achieving your dream of becoming a compassionate healthcare professional. I’m here to answer questions, provide guidance, and share my experiences to help you succeed. Choosing me as your mentor means having an enthusiastic and empathetic partner dedicated to your success.
Hi! I’m Mieszko.
For my A-Levels, I picked 4 STEM-based subjects, and enjoyed them, so I ended up putting a lot of time into them, and got an A* in each. In college, I also completed a gold crest project, a project in partnership with the NHS, and a project with DSTL.
I was successful in an application to study Computer Science at Oxford, while helping to lead a twice-a-week 2 hour long mentoring sessions, tutoring 3 other students with their admissions tests. One of these got an interview at Oxford, another got into Oxford, and a third was successful in applying to Cambridge.
Outside college, I do a decent amount of sports, including hiking, squash and judo, and I did a DofE award through explorers. I play piano, watch a fair amount of TV and read a fair amount of books – recently both have been This Is Going To Hurt.
I am a third year medical student at the University of Leeds. I received A*A*A* at A Levels in Biology physics and maths. I also achieved an A in my EPQ on the immune system in space which combined my passion for medicine and astrology. I completed the UCAT (2730 SJT band 2) and BMAT entrance exams. I then received 2 offers to study medicine following both MMI interviews.
At GCSE, I achieved grade 9s in Maths, English Language/Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Spanish.
Since I dedicate a lot of time to my course and studying, in my free time I like to get creative and paint or socialise with friends. I have always been keen to help other people and enjoy devoting my free time to volunteering in my local community. It is an incredibly rewarding experience to be part of the process of someone’s success and I enjoy sharing my knowledge and skills with other people if it helps them.

Hi, I’m Fran! I am a postgraduate student at UCL, studying for MSc Science Technology and Society, which I hope to finish in 2024. In 2022, I graduated with a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, where I specialised in Materials Science in my final year. I’m super passionate about science, and love science communication and policy-making. In my spare time, I enjoy rock-climbing, reading, board games, and music.
I have been tutoring privately for around 5 years now, and I love it! I enjoy spreading my passion for science and love discussing new and interesting topics and issues in science with my students. I think it’s really important to engage children and young people with science, to encourage the next generation of medics, mathematicians, scientists, and engineers.
Hello, my name is Belal. I’m currently a medical student at Queen Mary University of London with a solid background in both academics and medical school applications. I achieved a 3000 score on the UCAT with a Band 2 in the Situational Judgment Test, putting myself in the top 4% of the year, and I secured A* A* A at A-level. Through my journey to enter medicine, I received 4 offers for interview and 3 post-interview offers.
I’ve previously tutored students in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths at both GCSE and A-Level, particularly during my gap year. I find tutoring rewarding because it allows me to assist students in overcoming challenges and discovering the fascinating aspects of these subjects.
In my spare time, I love to immerse myself in a good book, especially classic literature like The Count of Monte Cristo and A Farewell to Arms. There’s something timeless about these stories that captivates me, and I enjoy exploring the depth of their characters and themes. Besides reading, I prioritize staying active through regular exercise such as swimming, which helps me maintain both physical and mental well-being. I also have a creative side and enjoy drawing whenever I get the chance. It’s a great way to unwind and express myself. On a lighter note, I have a bit of a guilty pleasure—I’m an avid collector of Pokémon cards. I’m particularly drawn to the intricate artwork and the nostalgia they bring.
Hi my name is Zaryaab Shah and I am currently a 2nd year medical student at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. I have a plethora of experience helping Medicine applicants through GCSE, A-Level qualifications and entrance exams like the BMAT as well as for interviews. I believe my extensive experience tutoring Medicine applicants allows me to tailor my teaching for the student and I can help them in a more personalised way. Having scored well in the BMAT and getting top grades at GCSE and at A-Level, I believe I can use my experience and skills to help other students do the exact same. To me to gain an offer at a medical school involves possessing a good knowledge of the medicine application process. I believe that as well as being a great tutor I can offer students advice tailored to them and their applications.

Hi! My name is Fran, I’m a 3rd year medical student at the University of Sheffield and a tutor at StudyMind. I am passionate about helping students succeed, and am very friendly and approachable. I studied Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A-Level as well as completing an EPQ. Having completed my A-levels and medical school application during the pandemic I am very comfortable with online learning and teaching methods.
I believe that lessons should be fully interactive to properly engage students and build their confidence. I aim to help students completely understand the basics in their subjects so that they can apply them effectively in exams and still feel secure when they are learning more difficult concepts. Practice questions are a key element of my lessons, as I think that they are vital to solidifying learning and improving exam technique
I have experience in tutoring, having taught in both one-on-one and group settings for GCSE and A-level. I know how to adapt my lessons to different students and their circumstances. My lessons are always well structured and have clear objectives so that students feel confident about their progress and can learn their strengths and weaknesses.
I know that when I was studying for A-levels and applying to medical school I found the resources and advice from older students super useful and it’s great to be able to help other people in the same way. If you choose me as a tutor I am sure that I will be able to help you reach your goals.
My name is Abhay Krishna, and I am a first-year MBBS student at UCLan, having recently achieved outstanding A-level results of A* A A A in Biology, Chemistry, Maths, and an EPQ. My academic excellence, coupled with my leadership experience as both the Chess President and Basketball Team Captain during sixth form at Ark King Solomon Academy, has equipped me with strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills. These qualities, alongside my passion for teaching and helping others, make me an ideal candidate for a tutoring role.
I have a strong foundation in science and mathematics, making me adept at explaining complex concepts in an engaging and accessible way. My ability to empathize with students stems from my own journey through rigorous academic challenges, allowing me to inspire confidence and foster curiosity in my tutees. Having successfully navigated university applications and adjusting to medical school, I am also well-versed in mentoring students with academic or career aspirations in competitive fields.
Outside academics, I am highly approachable and enjoy fostering a positive, supportive learning environment. Whether it’s breaking down intricate biology topics or helping refine problem-solving skills in maths, my goal is to help students achieve their full potential while building their confidence.
I’m Simran and I’m a first year medical student at the University of Liverpool. I achieved 3/4 medical school offers at Bart’s, Liverpool and Leicester. I hope to help others find the confidence in themselves going forward and support them in achieving their respective goals. No goal is too ambitious! I hope to support you in pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone and adopting a growth mindset. Only when we push ourselves a little can we truly develop as a person and flourish both personally, socially and academically. It’s true that we will always be faced with failure in one form or another but by learning resilience, perseverance and working effectively rather than harder, you can achieve your goals. I hope to help and support you in your own personal journeys in the future. I wish you all luck with your respective goals!
