Hi there, I’m Amir — and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I genuinely love helping people learn and grow.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about supporting others to achieve their goals, whether that’s building confidence with new skills, taking the first steps into a new career, or simply realising just how much you’re capable of. Teaching and training isn’t just my job — it’s something I truly enjoy.

Over the past 12 years, I’ve had the chance to work with a wide range of amazing learners, from young students starting out to adults wanting to boost their careers. No matter where someone is in their journey, I believe that learning should feel welcoming, supportive, Fun and tailored to fit who they are.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me exploring the latest in tech and cyber security (I’m a bit of a tech enthusiast!), solving problems, or finding new ways to keep learning myself. I do like going out too, socialising and enjoying my hobbies too. I’m a big believer that learning never really stops — and that’s exactly the kind of environment I love to create for others, too.

Hello everyone! My name is Megan and I am a friendly, motivating and fun tutor with over 10 years experience in the teaching field making me an oldie now, but a goodie!

My biggest passion in life is helping others grow in confidence, to enable them to see their potential and achieve their goals. I will do everything I can in my power to help you achieve. We will work together as a team and together, with a little nudge from me, we will make sure you can succeed. It might not happen over night, but we will find a way to get there together.

I have a background rooted in the creative and vocational sectors, but I also have a lot of transferrable skills and I have taught over a wide variety of academic subjects too. I specialise in Creative Writing and Art & Design, and I bring a hands-on, student-centred approach to every session.

I’m also experienced in teaching a wide range of subjects including Citizenship, PSHE, Health & Social Care, Childcare, Physical Education, and Travel & Tourism. On top of that, I’m highly skilled in delivering Employability Skills/ Work Experience—perfect for learners who are preparing for the next steps in their education or career.

I pride myself on being approachable, patient, and adaptable. My goal is to create a relaxed, supportive learning environment where learners feel heard, valued, and motivated to achieve their full potential. No question is a “stupid question”, so please always ask.

I’m a Computer Science student at Heriot-Watt University with a strong passion for technology, problem-solving, and continuous learning. In my spare time, I enjoy coding and exploring new tools, programming languages, and concepts within the field. As the older brother to twin brothers with autism, I’ve developed a high level of patience, empathy, and understanding, which I bring into my tutoring approach.
