Hello, my name is Belal. I’m currently a medical student at Queen Mary University of London with a solid background in both academics and medical school applications. I achieved a 3000 score on the UCAT with a Band 2 in the Situational Judgment Test, putting myself in the top 4% of the year, and I secured A* A* A at A-level. Through my journey to enter medicine, I received 4 offers for interview and 3 post-interview offers.

I’ve previously tutored students in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths at both GCSE and A-Level, particularly during my gap year. I find tutoring rewarding because it allows me to assist students in overcoming challenges and discovering the fascinating aspects of these subjects.

In my spare time, I love to immerse myself in a good book, especially classic literature like The Count of Monte Cristo and A Farewell to Arms. There’s something timeless about these stories that captivates me, and I enjoy exploring the depth of their characters and themes. Besides reading, I prioritize staying active through regular exercise such as swimming, which helps me maintain both physical and mental well-being. I also have a creative side and enjoy drawing whenever I get the chance. It’s a great way to unwind and express myself. On a lighter note, I have a bit of a guilty pleasure—I’m an avid collector of Pokémon cards. I’m particularly drawn to the intricate artwork and the nostalgia they bring.

Hi! My name is Fran, I’m a 3rd year medical student at the University of Sheffield and a tutor at StudyMind. I am passionate about helping students succeed, and am very friendly and approachable. I studied Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A-Level as well as completing an EPQ. Having completed my A-levels and medical school application during the pandemic I am very comfortable with online learning and teaching methods.

I believe that lessons should be fully interactive to properly engage students and build their confidence.
