I’m Emily, currently studying at economics and management. I would love to support anyone who needs help in their academic journey, helping them succeed by imparting my knowledge at techniques. I achieved all grade 9s at GCSE, so know how to help students in a broad range of subjects. I also achieved all A*s in my A levels, and am still passionate about my A-level subjects.I try to be flexible in my approach to tutoring. For students who need more guidance, I offer structured lessons with detailed explanations. For more independent learners, I foster problem-solving and self-learning by guiding them through the process rather than simply giving answers. My goal is to adapt to each student’s pace and ensure they are confident in the material we cover. Also, I believe in continuous feedback and open communication, so I regularly check in with students to gauge their understanding and adjust my approach based on their progress.

I am a first-year Aero-Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Strathclyde with a proven track record of academic excellence, achieving top grades, including As in all my subjects at school and university so far. My dedication to learning, strong work ethic, and attention to detail have prepared me to effectively guide and support students in their academic pursuit My active involvement in sports during school has also equipped me with valuable skills in teamwork, discipline, and time management. These qualities enable me to balance responsibilities effectively and approach challenges with resilience and determination. I am enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge, fostering curiosity, and helping students achieve their academic goals through structured and engaging tutoring sessions.With a passion for learning and a commitment to helping others succeed, I am confident in my ability to make a positive impact as a tutor.

No student should be disadvantaged and I’d love to make their lives easier by passing on my experiences and success with getting into the top universities (Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, KCL). Although a massive part of it is luck, hard work can get you anywhhere; it’s just about knowing where to put in the hard work to achieve the best results! Personal statements, ENGAA, and interviews can be exhausting if they aren’t handled in the right way, without appropriate guidance but as an engineer, solving problems efficiently is at the heart of what I do so I hope that can be applied to giving you the best chance possible of achieving your dreams 🙂

My name is Evie and I am a 4th Year Material Scientist at the University of Oxford. I love teaching and I have a particular passion for teaching science and maths. I am dedicated and patient and I love to inspire a love of the STEM subjects in my students!
