Hi, my name is Kazi and I’m a fourth year medical student at Imperial College London.

I am drawn towards clinical medicine because I like how It combines a scientific discipline with the opportunity to interact with a variety of people, and positively impact their life. My favorite moments at medical school thus far have been during placement, when I’ve been able to witness this first-hand.

I am looking to pursue a career in general surgery, and I’m currently studying an intercalated bachelor’s of science in surgical design and technology to explore the intersection between innovation and healthcare, and learn how best to apply it in my clinical practice in the future.

Having been involved in teaching for a number of years, I have seen first hand the reward and satisfaction received when a student finally grasps a challenging concept – a ‘penny drop’ moment.
