My name is Abena and I’m a 5th year medical student at the University of Oxford. As well as spending a large amount of time on my academic career, I have also dedicated myself to my tutoring ability with over 6 years of tutoring experience. Through my years of experience I have been able to improve my teaching skills and encounter a number of ways to assist a student in the their chosen subject allowing me to tailor sessions for the student in front of me. Furthermore, I’m a friendly, enthusiastic tutor, who enjoys helping students achieve their academic goals with discipline and consistency. Education has always been a huge priority in my life and I’ve had teachers whom have helped me immensley with my motivation and performance, something I hope to pass on to my future students.

Apart from tutoring, I enjoy cheerleading for my university, I’m also president of two societies Oxford Black Medics Society and learn Spanish in my free time.

Hi 👋 I’m Kara, a History and Politics graduate from Brasenose college, Oxford! I am super passionate about all things History and Politics as well as International Relations, English literature and Economics. I am available to help students with a wide range of challenges, from Economics A-level to achieving full marks in an EPQ. Outside of studying, I enjoy travelling, reading fiction and all types of exercise, especially the gym and I am a firm believer in having a great work life balance. I have graduated from the University of Oxford with a 2.1 in Philosophy and Theology. Prior to attending Oxford, I achieved A*A*A* in English Literature, Latin and Religious Studies, with 5 A*S, 4 Grade 9s and a Grade 8 in GCSEs.

For the past few years, I have been a private tutor which has also entailed mentoring young students and seeing them progress and achieving their dream spots at their universities. This has enabled me to build client relationships and to handle multiple concurrent tasks, since I balanced tutoring with my ability to thrive in Oxford’s rigorous academic environment. I also believe that I work well under time constraints and to meet deadlines, which is an ability that my time at Oxford has prepared me well for.

Hi there! My name is Tia and I am a recent graduate from the University of Oxford with a degree in French and Spanish. I have experience teaching French, Spanish and English to a range of students at all levels.

As a graduate in languages, I know exactly what foundations need to be laid to excel at French and Spanish, and I’m familiar with a range of exam boards. Having myself achieved 9s at GCSE in both languages, and A stars at A-Level, I am well-placed to support students. Beyond A-Level, I am keen to work with students who are prospective Oxbridge applicants. Hi there, my name is Ronan Goss and I am a recent 1st class land economy graduate at the university of Cambridge. Since I was 16 I have tutored various students in a range of subjects and levels, including mathematics, business and economics. Since then I have worked with a range of students for both GCSE and A-level, and I can work with exam boards such as Edexcel, AQA, IB, and WJEC. More recently I have tutored 8 students who have applied to Land Economy at Cambridge, assisting in personal statement writing, admission tests, and interview preparation. Some of these students have started or will be starting at Cambridge, with many others securing places at the UK’s most prestigious universities.

In my spare time I love to travel, and I am currently living in and around Portugal tutoring remotely. After travelling I have an offer to join a leading consulting firm based in the UK.

Hi, my name is Katie and I am a medical student at the University of Liverpool. I am currently intercalating between years 3 and 4 doing an MRes in Clinical Sciences. I have particular interests in Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics, and the research I am doing during my MRes is focusing on the importance of exercise in the elderly and post operative exercise.

A bit about me – In my free time I love to be active! I dance, play hockey, go to the gym, go for hikes (when I am near mountains) and am currently training for a half marathon. I have been President of The Medical Students’ Performing Arts Society, and am currently trying to reinstate the Sport and Exercise Medicine Society here at the University. I also love to cook and bake, especially lemon drizzle!

Current school students – At A Level, I acheived Grade A in Maths, Chemistry and Biology and a Distinction* in Level 3 Performing Arts. At GSCE I achieved 9s in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, History and English Language, 8s in Physics, Drama, English Literature and Spanish, and Distinction*s in (Level 2) Sport and Creative Digital Media.

Medicine Applicants – For the future medical students here, I would love to help you get into this fantastic degree. After not doing too well in my UCAT and being rejected by 2 universities as a result, I really struggled with my confidence. However, both Universities I attended for interview gave me offers! I am available for interview preparation and advice on your application to Medicine (both interviews I attended were MMIs, however, I can help to prepare for other styles too).

Current Medical Students – For current medical/ medical sciences students, I am currently between Years 3 and 4 of my MBChB having passed my Sequence 1 of all 3 years for both the written and clinical examinations (The University of Liverpool have a sequence system for exams. If you do well enough in the 1st Sequence, you are exempt from having to sit a 2nd set of examinations). I am available for tutoring in all Medical Subjects I have currently covered. Hi, my name is Piraveen and I’m currently studying at Queen Mary’s after graduating from St George’s University of London. If you need any help with your studies in terms of Medicine or just the sciences I would be happy to help and get you the best results possible. I have attended QE Grammar School since Year 7 which is a very selective school and it pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of. I will do my best to ensure that students achieve the best they can and to go beyond the scope of what I’m teaching as well if necessary. I have scored highly on my BMAT, UCAT and my GCSE’s, AS and A Levels so I know how hard it can be to attain high results and what it takes. Hi! I’m a final year Dental student at the University of Manchester 🙂 I’ve had lots of experience in tutoring students and prospective students one on one, reviewing personal statements (even if they’re for different courses or courses that are slightly related – e.g. Medicine!), and I’ve provided a lot of Q&A sessions for how I got into Uni and how I got 4/4 of my offers.

I received offers from King’s College London, Queen Mary College, Cardiff University, and the University of Manchester. I come from a socioeconomically deprived area, so I understand how it feels to be in competition for a University spot against others with better luck of the draw. I also have ADHD so I know how it feels to be a neurodivergent student and require slightly different styles and modes of teaching and concentration.

I love working with people and helping them – it’s part of why I want to go into Dentistry!
