17About Me
Hi!
My name is Amber, and I am a current third year vet student at the University of Nottingham!
I have been in the position many of you are in now, preparing for veterinary school interviews and writing personal statements. I too was daunted at the start of the experience, having made it to the other side I look forward to be able to help you fulfill your academic goals.
I have experience teaching KS1/2/3 english, maths, science and reading. I have also tutored GCSE maths and science students aswell as A-level biology and chemistry.
In addition, I have given interview and admissions advice to prospective veterinary students and those applying to sixth forms.
I make myself available to answer and explain things in and out of lessons, tailoring my teaching to each individual and enjoy celebrating every success with them.
I am a true country girl and like so many others would rather be outside; I am used to teaching those students who would too rather be outside in the rain!
My teaching style
My teaching style is adaptaable and I can provide a more self-directed approach or a more hands-on approach depending on the student’s needs and goals.
I like to consider each students goals for the lesson and adapt throughout the session to achieve those goals. I am for the student to finish each session confident with their new found knowledge in order to encourage a self-directed approach between lessons.
I am always available to answer questions and happy to readdress specific topics or questions.
