Hello! My name is Calum, and I am a recent Cambridge graduate with a BA in Human, Social, and Political Sciences. I have a strong passion for teaching, helping students develop both subject expertise and critical thinking skills. I come from a family of educators—my parents have over 20 years of teaching experience—which has given me valuable insight into effective learning strategies.
I specialise in tutoring Anthropology, Sociology, and Politics as well as a range of subjects at A-Level standard and below, including Maths, and History. My broad academic background allows me to support students across the humanities and social sciences while also helping with university applications, admissions tests, and interview preparation.
Beyond academics, I have extensive experience in sports coaching, including as an LTA Level 2 Tennis Coach. This background has shaped my adaptable and goal-oriented approach to tutoring. Whether you are aiming for top exam marks, refining your university application, or simply building confidence in a subject, I tailor my teaching to suit your needs.
I understand the pressures of academic life and competitive admissions, and I strive to make learning engaging, structured, and enjoyable. I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your goals!
I’m Emily, currently studying at economics and management. I would love to support anyone who needs help in their academic journey, helping them succeed by imparting my knowledge at techniques. I achieved all grade 9s at GCSE, so know how to help students in a broad range of subjects. I also achieved all A*s in my A levels, and am still passionate about my A-level subjects.I try to be flexible in my approach to tutoring. For students who need more guidance, I offer structured lessons with detailed explanations. For more independent learners, I foster problem-solving and self-learning by guiding them through the process rather than simply giving answers. My goal is to adapt to each student’s pace and ensure they are confident in the material we cover. Also, I believe in continuous feedback and open communication, so I regularly check in with students to gauge their understanding and adjust my approach based on their progress.
