15About Me
My name is Nathan, and I am a professional and friendly tutor with experience in several subjects.
I teach A-Level Psychology, research methods, data analysis, degree-level psychology (including clinical & forensic), report writing, literature reviewing and any topic of social sciences.
I can help you to improve your skills and knowledge in any of these subject areas, and help you to prepare for exams and have the best chance of achieving the results you want. I can also work with you to complete coursework, dissertations or professional projects. I also provide proofreading and constructive feedback to help improve your work.
I also teach several design subjects (graphic, product & interactive design), data visualization, and a range of analysis and design software, including Excel, SPSS, Qualtrics, Powerpoint, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

My teaching style
I have a flexible teaching style and can cover a range of subjects.
I will help you to build your confidence and understanding by going at your pace and moving forward in a methodical way. This includes setting clear targets, recapping previous lessons and breaking down difficult topics into understandable chunks.
I like to use a variety of teaching materials, including slideshows, images, text books and relevant articles from the media. Between lessons I might give you some quiz questions, or ask you to research something and explain it to me next time we meet. I treat each lesson like a conversation and I am always ready to answer questions from students.
When teaching research and data analysis I understand that many people struggle with these subjects. One of my strengths is being able to explain difficult concepts to people who don’t enjoy working with numbers.

My past experience
In total, I have more than 2000+ hours of group teaching experience, and I have tutored over a hundred individual students and adult learners, either online or in person. My private students have included A-Level Psychology students, undergraduates, professionals working in social sciences and various types of research.
I have taught undergraduate students at Coventry University (UK) including seminars and computer labs on research methods and data analysis. As part of this job I marked academic coursework and helped students to prepare for exams. I have also taught undergraduates, postgraduates, PhD students and researchers as a private tutor.
I’ve delivered training to professional teams in the workplace, mostly in the use of various software packages. I have also taught groups of children and young adults in private schools and developed my own lesson plans and teaching materials.

My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievements are my work in mental health, forensic psychology, education and policy research. I have worked in many fields and on many topics, and by working hard I have been able to follow my own interests and do work that gives me a sense of purpose and accomplishment. I enjoy doing things to make the world a little bit better or that help people in some way. I have also enjoyed traveling, living abroad and getting to know people from many cultures and backgrounds.
