Hello, I’m Devina a medical student. If I was to describe myself in three words, they would be Resilient, intelligent and bubbly. I decided to be a tutor as I have a lot of valuable skills and top tips which I have learnt during the medicine application processes and I wish to share these with forthcoming students to help you be successful! As a student who was state schooled myself, I am extremely aware of the little help and knowledge given out to aspiring medical students and I am a big advocate for helping to overcome this disparity.
My aim is to educate and help you guys with the best tips and tricks I have learnt in the application process to help you be successful in all of your applications. As someone who received my offers and achieved top A-levels grades, sat the UCAT and BMAT, I believe I have lots of skills which can help you. Having taught many students before I have the advantage of knowing the main specific areas students struggle on, as well as learning the many ways students learn. This has allowed me to improve my own tutoring techniques to a higher more experienced level.
I am also a former medic mind tutee myself, so I am very familiar with the system and how to approach lesson and I have also been in the same position as you guys so I understand how daunting it can be. So, if you are looking for a friendly, motivated and experienced tutor then look no further!

Hi, my name is Katie and I am a medical student at the University of Liverpool. I am currently intercalating between years 3 and 4 doing an MRes in Clinical Sciences. I have particular interests in Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics, and the research I am doing during my MRes is focusing on the importance of exercise in the elderly and post operative exercise.

A bit about me – In my free time I love to be active! I dance, play hockey, go to the gym, go for hikes (when I am near mountains) and am currently training for a half marathon. I have been President of The Medical Students’ Performing Arts Society, and am currently trying to reinstate the Sport and Exercise Medicine Society here at the University. I also love to cook and bake, especially lemon drizzle!

Current school students – At A Level, I acheived Grade A in Maths, Chemistry and Biology and a Distinction* in Level 3 Performing Arts. At GSCE I achieved 9s in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, History and English Language, 8s in Physics, Drama, English Literature and Spanish, and Distinction*s in (Level 2) Sport and Creative Digital Media.
I am confident in tutoring at GCSE Level and below in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Sport/PE and medical related subjects (Biomedicine, biochemistry etc). If your subject is not listed here but you are interested in my tutoring, please just drop me a message and we can work something out 🙂

Medicine Applicants – For the future medical students here, I would love to help you get into this fantastic degree. After not doing too well in my UCAT and being rejected by 2 universities as a result, I really struggled with my confidence. However, both Universities I attended for interview gave me offers! I am available for interview preparation and advice on your application to Medicine (both interviews I attended were MMIs, however, I can help to prepare for other styles too).

Current Medical Students – For current medical/ medical sciences students, I am currently between Years 3 and 4 of my MBChB having passed my Sequence 1 of all 3 years for both the written and clinical examinations (The University of Liverpool have a sequence system for exams. If you do well enough in the 1st Sequence, you are exempt from having to sit a 2nd set of examinations). I am available for tutoring in all Medical Subjects I have currently covered. Hi, I’m Mamta, a first year medical student at the University of Birmingham.
I’m very passionate about teaching and have been tutoring for more three years, helping with personalised exam preparation and revision techniques based on first hand experience as well as supporting younger students with key skills.

I achieved 3A*s as well as 10 Grade 9s in my GCSEs, so I feel that I am able to draw upon my own experience to help students with the content covered as well as key revision tips. This includes creating a revision plan from the very beginning so that when it comes to exams, these are as stress-free as possible. I also find that frequent reviews of prior topics helps to really ingrain knowledge and means that it is more intuitive to recall or apply when it comes to practice questions.

I’m Prerna, a recently graduated doctor from the University of Nottingham. Having secured acceptances into Birmingham, Manchester, and UCLAN, I bring extensive interview experience, specializing in MMI and Panel formats. I have had the privilege of assisting numerous aspiring medical students in their interview preparation and have helped students gain admission to universities including Warwick, UCL, Manchester, KCL, and Leicester. I’ve gained valuable insights into the interview process through my experience working for the Medical Interview department at the University of Nottingham. This exposure has provided me with a better understanding of how interviews are conducted.

Hello prospective student and parents. My name is Dimitar Mitkov. I am currently a second-year Law student at LSE. I am currently offering to teach several GCSE, A-Level Subjects as well as tutoring support for University level Law.

Additionally, I have achieved a high score at the LNAT and received offers from Cambridge, LSE and KCL to study Law so I have an insight into the admission procedures and can help accordingly with preparing students for the interview and how to tackle some of the tricky questions of the LNAT. I am also able to assist with personal statement support in helping students formulate their reasons for student law and give them a taster of what a university-level law course is like.

I also have completed several internships and experiences with Law firms so I am able to further assist in giving advice on what commercial law firms look for in their applicants.

Hello! I am Mya, a third year Cambridge student studying HSPS. My broad academic experience makes me a great tutor for multiple disciplines. In my first year I studied linguistics (and achieved a first class in my end of year exams) and then changed to study politics and international relations for my final two years. Alongside my degree, I continue to maintain my Spanish skills and put my communication and teaching skills to the test as captain of the university dance competition team. When I go home, I help as a teaching assistant at my old secondary school, assisting GCSE and A-level classes, so I have first hand and up to date experience with the curriculum as well as some common challenges and how to address them in an engaging way.
