Nidhi
About Me
Hi, my name is Nidhi, and I’m currently in my second year studying Economics at university. I have A-levels in Maths, Economics, and Psychology, and I achieved an A in Finance. Additionally, I earned a Grade 8 in GCSE Maths and a Grade 9 in GCSE English, making me well-rounded and strong with both numbers and words. I have informal tutoring experience, including creating tailored revision spreadsheets for a friend to help her pass GCSE Maths. One of my proudest achievements was going from barely passing Economics at A-level to achieving an A* and winning ‘Student of the Year’ in the subject. This experience taught me the power of resilience, effective study strategies, and personalized support. I offer tutoring in Maths, English, and Economics, and I enjoy using a combination of study methods—videos, past papers, and tailored resources—to help students crack their revision. My approach is calm and focused, yet hands-on, ensuring that each student progresses in a structured, motivating way.
My teaching style
My teaching style is clear, patient, and student-focused. I believe in creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and explore topics at their own pace. I like to break down complex ideas into simple, relatable concepts and use real-life examples wherever possible to make the material stick. I’m also big on active engagement—whether that’s through practice questions, discussions, or quick recap games—so students can truly understand and retain what they’re learning.
My past experience
Yes, I’ve had informal tutoring experience, most notably helping a friend prepare for her GCSE Maths exam. I created tailored revision spreadsheets to track her progress and focused sessions on areas where she needed the most support. It was really rewarding to see her grow in confidence and ultimately pass the exam. That experience sparked my interest in tutoring and showed me how much of a difference structured, supportive guidance can make.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest achievements is my journey with Economics. I started A-levels struggling to pass, but through hard work, consistency, and a real shift in how I approached studying, I was able to turn things around and achieve an A* by the end of the course. I was also honoured to receive the ‘Student of the Year’ award in Economics, which meant a lot to me and reinforced my belief in the power of resilience and the right support.
