Hi. My name is Reza I am currently a second-year medical student at the University of Glasgow. I remember how daunting and struggling it was the first time I was beginning to apply for medical school. From A-levels, Interviews, UCAT and personal statements there were a lot of things I had no idea about. This sense of feeling ‘lost’ is the primary reason I took on this role at medic mind. I genuinely want to teach and more importantly, fix aspiring students’ mistakes. I don’t want them to make the same ones I made and learned from during my time applying to university. Through my experiences, I want to guide young people to help get into medical school. I also was a former medic mind tutee myself so I am familiar with the system and how to approach students. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball and cycling. Recently though, I have picked up the hobby of cooking.

Hi, my name is Arun and I am currently a 4th year medical student at Sheffield University intercalating in a clinical research project. I completed my A-levels, UCAT, and medical interviews in 2020. I had 4 interviews and received offers from all four. I am a well-experienced tutor having completed over 1500 hours of tutoring with Medic Mind in a range of topics, from GCSEs and A-Levels to UCAT and interviews as well as university consultations

I was one of the few students to undertake the A-level exams in November 2020 after my exams were cancelled due to Coronavirus. I am dyslexic so I have weird and wonderful ways to remember critical information and I hope I can support prospective doctors (dyslexic or non) to achieve their dream of becoming a medical professional.

I was not labelled as your typical medical student by my school. I continued to persevere until I reached the goal that I set for myself, with the help of my family.

I am a current Graduate medic at St. Georges London. I am now in my penultimate year and a highlight for me was achieving 82% in my OSCE last year. I work part time alongside my studies, on the pitch at Tottenham Hotspur Football club as a groundsman and in Cardiology at a London hospital where I assist in the aortic valve and structural heart clinic. I thoroughly enjoy this as it allows me to gain insight into my future career as a Doctor. My previous degree was at Cardiff University where I was awarded a 2:1 in an integrated Masters of Chemistry (Hons) degree. I achieved 68% in my masters project based on the drug delivery capabilities of a metal organic hybrid framework. In my spare time I like to explore the different restaurants in London, catch up with friends and play football. I also enjoy skiing where I have competed in national competitions.

Hello Tutees! I’m Shaun, a 5th year medical student at Magdalene College, the University of Cambridge and I’m have an interest in surgery as well as neuroscience and molecular biology. I also intercalated in psychology in my 3rd year. I’m a fun, friendly and approachable tutor who’s really excited to help you all reach you’re, very achievable, goals!
I come from a town in Yorkshire where I went to an underperforming state comprehensive, no-one from my school had ever even applied for anywhere like Cambridge for medicine, me being here today is a testament to the additional time and effort I had to put in to my university application and A-levels. All that stress and work is handy though, I know an awful lot about university applications for medicine, to Cambridge and Oxford, as well as for general applications across the board. I achieved offers from everywhere I interviewed at (I withdrew from one of my options) so I can really be a good help for interview skills. I also achieved some of my schools best ever A-levels and even nabbed some golds in subject olympiads.

Apart from medicine, I love languages and often take pride in the number of languages I can communicate. I enjoy teaching IELTS and have helped many students get through this exam with higher scores than they aspired for.

I am a final year medical student at Flinders University who is about to graduate soon. In addition, to studying medicine at Flinders I have also participated in extracurriculars such as university sports and medrevue, as stage manager. Medrevue which is a musical that is organized by medical students every year.

I moved to Australia 10 years ago and did not have much experience with their tertiary education system. However, my experiences with volunteering and private tutoring helped me build a network which later helped me gain useful advice when trying to seek admission into an undergraduate university course. I believe I would be of use to anyone who needs some mentoring while trying to navigate the tertiary education system in Australia.

The networks I was able to establish during the course of my undergraduate degree helped me a lot when trying to gain admission into medicine in Australia. I studied Bachelors of Biomedicine at University of Melbourne graduating with a First class Honors Average and a GPA of 6.8out of a maximum of 7. I was a subjective representative as well. Following my undergraduate degree a spent an year of honors research with the aged care group at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. As a result of my research I was able to publish articles in reputable journals.

I am currently studying medicine at Flinders where some members of the faculty have let me know that I have been scoring in the top 10 % of students. I am a anatomy/dissection tutor for junior medical students as well

Hi, my name is Emma and I’m currently a medical student at the University of Nottingham. After doing my A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Geography along with an EPQ I am happy to help in any of these subject areas. Whether it be a specific topic(s) you’re struggling with or difficult calculations in biology I’m here to help you. I can also safely say that after doing three medical school interviews last year, I’ve got the hang of it and are here to help you every step of the way from hot topics to medical ethics! Interviews are a skill that can be improved on by doing lots and lots of practise with tutors. Along with teaching and explaining content effectively, I have a strong passion for helping students find the most efficient way for them to revise, by getting them to work smarter and not harder!

Hello, I’m Maleeha Pandit. Since I have gone through UCAT and BMAT processes in the UK whilst applying for medicine, I know how daunting it is to apply within strict deadlines whilst meeting exceptionally good marks. At Manchester, I actively took part in teaching activities and mentorship, and with my previous experience of teaching fellow students for the past 3 years, I will be a valuable asset to my future students. I would describe myself as quite an enthusiast, loving to meet new people, adventurous, patient, understanding with sympathetic as well as empathetic behavior. I am great with time management and planning to complete my goals and reach my aim. I am the Year Coordinator. I am a member of a Book Club as well as a badminton club. I received 5/5 of my UCAS offers, including medicine at Edinburgh, Newcastle, Hull-York and Cambridge, as well as a place in biomedical science at Newcastle.

I enjoy supporting students with their medicine applications- including UCAT, personal statement and interview preparation. I have extensive experience in this area, including several successful Oxbridge medicine candidates.

I enjoy tutoring all STEM subjects- particularly science and maths. I achieved A*A*A* in triple science GCSE, and grade 9 in maths. My A-levels included Biology A*, Maths A*, Chemistry A, Physics A, EPQ A.
