Hi! I’m Mieszko.

I was successful in an application to study Computer Science at Oxford, while helping to lead a twice-a-week 2 hour long mentoring sessions, tutoring 3 other students with their admissions tests. One of these got an interview at Oxford, another got into Oxford, and a third was successful in applying to Cambridge.

Since then, I’ve completed 2 years in Oxford (after an early transfer to a joint honours Maths and Computer Science course). In my most recent exams, I achieved the equivalent of a first class – “the equivalent of” because the actual results combine both this year, and the next one.

Outside college, I do a decent amount of sports, including hiking, squash and judo, though recently I’ve been quite into pool. I play piano, watch a fair amount of TV and read a fair amount of books – recently both have been “This Is Going To Hurt – Diaries of a Junior Doctor”.

I believe in creating a supportive, student-centered learning environment where lessons are tailored to meet each student’s unique needs and learning styles. My teaching approach is focused on simplifying complex concepts, whether in Maths, English, or the Sciences, and presenting them in clear, manageable steps. I use real-world examples and interactive activities to help students fully engage with the material, ensuring that each session is both enjoyable and productive.

With expertise in Maths, English, and Sciences up to the GCSE level, I cover a wide range of topics across these subjects. Whether students need help with algebra, essay writing, or understanding scientific principles, I ensure that lessons are aligned with their curriculum and exam board requirements. This helps build confidence and readiness for assessments, while fostering a deeper understanding of each subject.

In addition to core subject knowledge, I encourage the development of critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and effective study habits. My aim is to not only help students achieve their academic goals but also to equip them with lifelong learning skills. Through positive reinforcement and clear, constructive feedback, I work to build students’ confidence and ensure they feel supported every step of the way.

My goal is to help students succeed, whether they need assistance with specific academic challenges or want to excel further in their studies. By offering structured, engaging, and personalized lessons, I am committed to guiding each student toward reaching their full potential in Maths, English, and Sciences.

Dr Naila is a dedicated and results-driven researcher with a PhD (thesis submitted) in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow and over seven years of experience in research, teaching, and academic mentoring. Her core expertise lies in the domain of cybersecurity, with particular emphasis on data privacy, threat modeling, expert systems, logical reasoning, and artificial intelligence. She has successfully led and contributed to innovative projects aimed at advancing cutting-edge technologies to protect sensitive data in autonomous and complex systems. Known for her exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, Naila thrives in collaborative environments and excels in fostering teamwork and communication. Her research interests extend to data protection regulations, complex systems modeling, and human-computer interaction, with a keen focus on bridging theoretical concepts with real-world applications to address pressing challenges in technology and security.
