Vet Personal Statement Tutors : 1-1 Vet Personal Statement Preparation

Hello, My Name is Robyn and I’ve just completed Graduate Entry Medicine at the University of Nottingham and and I employed as a resident doctor. I interviewed at 4 different universities; Nottingham, St Georges, Swansea and Ulster, securing offers from all 4 of them. My First degree was in Genetics (BSc Hons) from the University of York Followed by a graduate diploma in law from BPP University.

Prior to my current Degree, I spent 5 years working in an FTSE 100 corporate environment completing Project management Qualifications and then Joining Deloitte to work as a Management Consultant. I have a wealth of interview experience in a variety of different settings having done both corporate and Academic interviews. I was also a member of the UK army reserves taking on the role of a Combat Medic, this has given me a clinical understanding and knowledge that has benefited me during my medical degree and that I would love to pass on to others.

I have a strong academic background in science having completed A levels in all the Sciences and an AS level in maths and then pursuing a degree in genetics. While completing my degree I competed in a Genetic engineering competition hosted by MIT and received a Bronze and a Gold medal in their respective years. most recently I sat GAMSAT and UCAT. GAMSAT is the graduate entry to medicine test and contains 3 sections, English, Essay writing and Science, the minimum cutoff for entry is 50 in each section and I scored 63, 63, and 68 respectively. The Science section contains Degree level Biology, Chemistry, Physics and maths and requires High-level data interpretation.

I have experience working with children with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia and would be happy to work with/tutor anyone with additional needs.

Hi ! My name is Ella and i’m currently a 4th year vet student at The Royal Veterinary College, London. I previously studied the gateway to Veterinary medicine course at RVC so have had an extra year of learning and experience at the university. Although I can understand and have been through the stress and anxiety of applying to vet school, I want to help and allow you to turn that around and really enjoy and get the most out of your interviews and application the same way I did! I also used medic mind to be able to achieve where I am today and since then have helped others with their vet application so know all the tips and tricks to help you get into the university you want. In relevance to the veterinary medicine application process, I have worked very hard and even now have a published book on how to get into veterinary medicine! With my experience I want to give everyone who wants and deserves it the opportunity to study veterinary medicine.

As a senior veterinary medicine student who ranked 1st in my cohort in last year’s university examinations, I provide high-impact academic tutoring and specialist admissions coaching. Five years ago, I entered veterinary school after achieving 3 As at A-Level and an A in my EPQ (including 100% UMS in Chemistry and 99.7% UMS in Biology), while securing offers from 100% of the universities that interviewed me.
