Hi ! My name is Ella and i’m currently a 4th year vet student at The Royal Veterinary College, London. I previously studied the gateway to Veterinary medicine course at RVC so have had an extra year of learning and experience at the university. Although I can understand and have been through the stress and anxiety of applying to vet school, I want to help and allow you to turn that around and really enjoy and get the most out of your interviews and application the same way I did! I also used medic mind to be able to achieve where I am today and since then have helped others with their vet application so know all the tips and tricks to help you get into the university you want. In relevance to the veterinary medicine application process, I have worked very hard and even now have a published book on how to get into veterinary medicine! With my experience I want to give everyone who wants and deserves it the opportunity to study veterinary medicine.

I have just finished my gap year, teaching at an elite English private school. I received 3 A*s at A-Level and an A*in my EPQ. Having taken my A-Levels recently, I am well versed in how best to learn content. I know the intricacies of the specification and have firsthand knowledge on how best to tackle these exams. I received three offers for veterinary medicine. I received an offer from every institute that I had an interview at. I know the type of questions that crop up at these interviews, and how best to answer them. I can pass on my comprehensive knowledge of the application and interview process. I have undertaken several hundred hours of interview preparation myself. So, rest assured I know that I will be a tremendous help in your road to academic success. Tutoring is my highest priority. Therefore, any lessons with yourself would take priority in my diary. This would mean that you can have continuity, and any questions answered that very day. I have had 100% of my tutees get accepted into their first choice university, having had multiple lessons with myself. I am certain that I would guide you to academic excellence. Hi there! My name is Issy O’Brien and I’m a fifth year veterinary science student at Aberystwyth University, in conjunction with RVC and currently in my fifth year.

I am available for help on personal statements (mine was one of the best in my year), veterinary interviews, veterinary application in general/advice, A-Level Biology/History and GCSE Biology/Chemistry/History/English Literature.

Previous to this I attended one of the highest scoring colleges in the country, who have a 85% rate of A/A* grades. In my A-Levels I achieved A*, A,A and received 3 interviews (Liverpool, Harper Keele, Aberstwyth/RVC) and 2 offers in my application (Harper Keele/Aberstwyth)- the highest in my year. I was able to attend many workshops put on by my college about applying, which I add to my teaching style for a real range of information.

I am incredibly passionate about all things veterinary, but especially large animals and equine, as I have a small flock of pedigree sheep at home! Prior to/during my application process I completed many weeks of work experience which greatly helped my success, but really helped me to find out why I wanted to be a vet and inspired alot of further reading.

I pride myself on working hard and being friendly and confident towards my students, I’m more than happy to cater to any needs and just want the best for them.

Hello there!

My name is Abbey, I’m a 3rd Year Vet Med student in the Graduate Entry programme at the University of Edinburgh. Before this degree, I completed my BSc in Veterinary Biosciences and an MRes of Parasite Control at Aberystwyth University.

Outside the classroom, I am very active, acting as captain of the vet school’s badminton team that competes monthly in the local league with weekly training. I also am one of the student ambassadors at vet school, so am very familiar with the runnings of the school.

I have been involved in several extracurricular activities since secondary school, ranging from Model United Nations, organising blood drives, to being the managing editor of the school newspaper just to name a few! This carried into my university years in my first degree, restarting the Animal & Veterinary Society and holding roles such as President, Vice-President and Secretary, and being a part of a 10-year consecutive winning dance team as well.

I’m originally from France and moved to the UK to study a BSc in Bioveterinary Science, followed by a Master’s in Animal Science. I have in-depth experience with the UK vet school application process, I received interviews from all the vet schools I applied to, and then I was offered a place by each of them. I also applied to Bristol, however they do not conduct interview anymore, just a essay type questionnaire to fill up.

As a mature student with a strong academic background and a wide range of professional experience, I understand the pressures of applying to vet school.
