CFA Level 3 Tutors : 1-1 CFA Level 3 Preparation

A very diverse background. Was born in Pakistan, where I studied till Grade 6. Afterwards, I moved to Saudi Arabia, completing my IGCSE’s there. Now, I have been in the United Kingdom for just over 5 years. Here, I completed some of my GCSE’s and sixth form. Currently, I am in my Y2 Medicine (A100) BM5 course at the University of Southampton. This background would allow me to help students mind-map/ trace their steps in life and in guiding them to plant and craft a story for their UCAS application, rather than just writing a personal statement.

I love interacting and talking to people, and having re-applied for Medicine, I appreciate that a student needs to be confident in answering questions, rather than just trying to cram all the interview hot topics in their head. I believe that the interview is very straightforward – you just need to be yourself! Everyone has heard this a million times, but not many replicate it in their journey. I hope to take my students in a journey with me, where I can highlight to them that: yes, that MMR story and Harold Shipman were important parts of history, but no more important than the hand signals, eye contact, smiling face you try to maintain during your interview!

Re-applying, this is the mindset that I went in with for my online MMI. With Southampton doing traditional interviews, I was just myself! I smiled, I laughed, I used my hands to signal/ signpost, I nodded. I actively listened. I did things that I would have done in a normal conversation with my friend. And, in the end, I could tell that I transferred all my energy to them. They were buzzed!

I hope to use this experience and reflection as a tool to TEACH – NOT TELL, where I can dig out the hidden personalities all these students, all these people, all these minds have!

My name is Sai, I am a second year Medical student at the university of Bristol. I love to play badminton and watch football in my spare time.

My grades for GCSE were 69/72 (best 8) with 9s in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science

I also got 8s in English Language and English Literature and also Geography.

I studied Maths, Biology and Chemistry for A levels, getting AAA

I recieved 68/72 in my best 8 for GCSEs, with all 9s in Sciences and Maths, and two 8s and a distinction in English

I recieved 2910 in my UCAT and a 12.3 and 4A in my BMAT

I also recieved interviews for Uni of Southampton and Uni of Leicester, getting offers for both there too.
I have taught many students from various backgrounds, from KS3 to University.

I myself have been teaching for 4 years now, and I have been grateful to pick up and adapt to many teaching styles along the way, to make sure I can tailor my learning to everyones needs – having taught for 300+ hours

Hi! I’m Priyanka. I’m entering second year of uni at LSE and I study Economics & Economic History. I was born and brought up in Dubai and followed the Indian system of education, which in my opinion is insanely intense (especially the math). I love sports, music and reading. I was a national level swimmer and chess player. I also love dance and music, it’s the best form of therapy for me.
As a kid I never found learning fun but I soon realised the difference a teacher can make in one’s learning journey. And that’s why I wanted to tutor too, so I can help make a difference and do my part. I am very chill and I aim for my classes to be a reflection of that, but at the same time I expect effort to be put in from the student’s side as well. I have more than five years of overall teaching experience. After completing my master’s degree, I aspire to become a full-time teacher. During this time, I have taught a wide range of courses, including GCSE Economics, GCSE Business Studies, A/level Economics, A/level Business Studies, IELTS, phonics, Eiken, Business English, and conversation.
