Hi! My name is Joseph and I studied biological Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. I will specialise in Pathology, but have taken physiology, neurobiology and chemistry at degree level too. I understand how exhausting the Oxbridge application process can be, and how challenging it is to balance this with preparation for exams too. I want to assure you that your success is my priority and I am happy to help in any way that I can. Whether you need help with your personal statement, admissions exams, interviews or with your end of year exams I am determined to help you succeed. I hope that I can help you be excited about applying to University too – researching universities and writing applications feels daunting but as someone who is having a great time at university currently, I know that the end result is worth it. I do a lot of theatre at university which requires a lot of time management skills to balance alongside a demanding degree, but I do this because I understand the importance of finding joy outside of academic work. In my lessons I will help you succeed but I will encourage this in a healthy and productive way.

I have a degree in BSc Chemistry and MSc Chemistry. During my Masters, I did research by developing drugs to treat cancer by developing novel drugs that have a maleimides functional group to target proteins that cause cancer. My research was ground-breaking and is currently being published in Journals.

Nice to meet you! My name is Riya, and I am in my final year of studying PPE (specialising in Economics) at the University of Oxford. I am originally from Cheltenham, where I studied Maths, Further Maths, Economics, and Physics for my A-levels. After finishing university, I will start a job in management consulting, and I hope to also continue tutoring. In my free time, I enjoy playing the violin in orchestras, travelling, and swimming.

Hi, I’m Kai! I was born in sunny Singapore, where I completed high school and two years of mandatory military service before studying at the University of New South Wales as a medical student.

In my early schooling years, I was never deemed as ‘naturally gifted’ in academics. Despite my shortcomings, I overcame many struggles and hurdles to get to where I am today. My wish as a tutor is to be able to impart my gained experience and knowledge to students whose position I was once in.

For my national service, I was attached to an endurance-class warship and served as a fast craft specialist in the Singapore Navy. There, I further learnt the importance of being disciplined and hardworking in the pursuit of excellence. At the same time, I understand that a keen interest in the given subject is just as important. It was my passion towards biology and the sciences that drew me towards the medical profession, inspiring me to work hard and eventually achieve my dream of entering medical school.

I am a violinist, music producer, composer and arranger. I started learning the violin in 2011 and I have since made significant progress in my musicality with over 13 years of training and leadership roles as Concertmaster in school orchestras. I have been composing since 2021 and specialise in the Classical genre while also working on other, more modern genres of music.

I have written and arranged multiple musical pieces for various instruments, numerous of which are on platforms like IMSLP and MuseScore. I also oversee creative work in my own music and multimedia community known as Evans Chou Studios, leading a team in music production, content creation and event planning, increasing community engagement. In this community, I have worked with other musicians to deliver multiple festive events, attracting audiences of up to 100 participants.
