About Me
Hey I’m Sam, I’m studying Biomedical Science at Uni and particularly love studying gene editing. At the moment, I’m doing a presentation on CRISPR-Cas9, a revolutionary, Noble Prize winning, new technology which acts like ‘molecular scissors’ to cut DNA at specific points anywhere we like. How cool! I have recently have gone through the whole school schenangon- so absolutely know how difficult it can be to grasp new concepts and how irratitating those mark schemes can be, but that is where I come in! Exams can be very stressful and my aim is to make those pesky 6 markers as stress-free as possible: whether its exam strategies; mnemonics or little songs to help remember things, that is how can I help you best!
Whilst at school, I was quite a slow learner, it took me ages to genuinely comprehend the most basic concepts, however, my teachers and friends where there to help me and after some time, it sort of ‘clicked’ for me – my goal is to help you have that ‘light-bulb’ moment earlier – so that by the time exam season comes around, you’ll know the syllabus like the back of your hand!
My teaching style
My goal is to tailor your lessons to best suit you! We will make use of past papers, examiners reports, practice questions to test your knowledge and identify any gaps in your knowledge. I try to make our lessons as enjoyable as possible through quizes and creative games aswell At the beginning of our first lesson we will identify the parts of the course that you struggle with the most in order to make the most of our lessons together.

Having tutored for the past year with online tutoring companies, I have had speclised training for students with SEN and SpLD as well as group lessons.
