My name is Sharvika, a dental student who is committed to helping students achieve academic success and has a strong enthusiasm for education. I believe that, filling in knowledge gaps and fostering an environment of learning encourages comprehension and curiosity and I’m an expert in determining each student’s unique learning preferences and adjusting instructions to guarantee a greater understanding of the material. Beyond textbooks, I hope to empower and inspire individuals by fostering a love of learning that goes beyond the classroom. Selecting me as your tutor means choosing a dedicated guide who is passionate about YOUR development, eager to help you reach your full potential, and involved in your success.
My method of teaching is customised to each student, taking into account their own learning preferences and shortcomings.
Hi, I’m Saranya and I am currently in my final year of medical school at the University of Birmingham. Having gone through the medical school application process I can recall the struggles I faced without having a mentor to guide me through the process, and I wish to make this easier for those in the same position as I was.
I scored well in my aptitude tests (UCAT and BMAT) and was able to secure an interview at all of my chosen medical schools because of this. I remember feeling out of my depth as for the first time I had to practice for an exam that school had not prepared me for. Through the rigorous research and training I undertook, I came across some helpful resources as well as tips and tricks to ensure I was able to obtain the best marks I could, and I hope to pass this on to my students.
I recall how nervous I was about the interview stage as I had never done anything like this before, but now having been on the other side of the table as an interviewer at university, hopefully I can impart some wisdom on how best to tackle this stage.
At A-level I took Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Psychology and with a lot of hard work, was able to obtain an A* in all of my subjects. I remember how difficult the transition to A-level and independent learning was and how my grades initially took a drop as I tried to find my footing. I’m here to help ease this process and to try and get my students on the right track from day one.
Hello I am Jaya, a 4th year medical student at the University of Edinburgh. I applied to Oxford, Edinburgh, St Andrews and Aberdeen medical schools, and received offers from the latter three. I understand that applying to medicine can be a stressful time and complicated to navigate. As your mentor, I will be there to support you throughout the process, and help you develop and showcase your skills most effectively.
I am a friendly and hard-working individual with great organisational and leadership skills. My teaching experiences include one-on-one mentoring and school-visits, where I have created teaching materials and taught on admissions tests, interviews, personal statements, strategic applying and university preparation. I have been helping medical school applicants for the last four years through which I have gained a good understanding of the expectations of medical school admissions and ways in which applicants can stand out from the crowd.
My passion for teaching is reflected in work I do at university. I am the Events Coordinator for Edinburgh University Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery, an Anatomy Tutorials Coordinator for Accessibility in Medicine, and I am on the committee for the British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin Young Doctors and Medical Students Forum. I am a student ambassador for SimPat and also pursuing an Undergraduate Certificate in Medical Education at the University of Edinburgh. I have organised and hosted career insight events, podcasts and conferences primarily with a focus on cardiology. I am involved in neuroscientific research and I am currently working towards publishing a paper on the development of an online living evidence summary tool to help the scientific community in carrying out systematic reviews of research.
I hope to work with you soon!

Hi, my name is Sanjana! I am a Medical student at Bristol and I love to teach! I’d love to make any preparations towards exams even the slightest bit easier. I’d love to share all the little tips and tricks I have learnt along the way to ace my exams. My strengths are Biology and Chemistry but I loved English at GCSE – however I am open to tutoring anything I have past expertise in. I want to make sure you’re comfortable in our sessions and find it easy to ask questions. I am insistent on making sure students are actually understanding what they are learning. I found I had to change revision tactics a lot of times before finding what worked for me, and once I did, everything clicked! I never thought I’d make it to university with the struggles I faced at A-Level, but I believe everyone needs a little push in the right direction. I now enjoy playing badminton at university and having a good time with my friends – balance is key! I’m very excited to meet you all soon! 😀
