Hi, my name is Ips. I’m an undergraduate Biomedical Science student from the UK.

I am creative, adaptable, and forward-thinking, with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to develop and manage relationships.

I am an ambitious, enthusiastic, and hardworking individual looking to develop my academic skills in the professional world of healthcare and science. I am also a keen learner in all fields and aspects. Further to add, I am adept at public speaking and am receptive to change, and willing to learn and take on board exciting challenges.

I like writing and have written several unpublished short books and articles. Aside from my love of traveling, I also enjoy playing sports and reading. If I’m missing, then it’s best to look for me in the kitchen whipping together a tasty meal or punching the bag at my gym for the extra pump of endorphins and dopamine.

I’m often found dawdling in the world of academic creativity. As a nerd who doesn’t always ace her exams, I’m always there for a good conversation with a strong espresso at hand 🙂

My name is Ed, and I am a recent graduate of the University of Oxford where I studied Economics and Management. I achieved three A*s in my A-Levels in maths, economics, and geography. Alongside my degree, I worked as a tutor supporting students through their studies to help them achieve their goals.

I have worked as a tutor for three years supporting a wide variety of students of all ages and abilities. I believe that with this experience I am able to appreciate each student’s individual needs through their studies and that one technique does not work for all students. My sessions have been described by students as well-planned, highly engaging, and enjoyable.

Outside of academics, I enjoy sports. In particular, I love rugby, football, and golf. I also have a keen interest in financial markets and current affairs and when I have the time, I try to travel the world and explore new cultures.

Hi, my name is Sophie Young and I am a 5th year medical student at the University of Sunderland.
I am the first medical student in my family and hope to help open the doors for others to do the same.
When completing my GCSES I achieved 11 GCSEs with 4A*s 5As and 2Bs. At A-level I achieved ABBB in Maths, English literature, Chemistry and Biology.
I achieved 4/4 offers to interview based on my personal statement at the University of Dundee, University of Aberdeen, University of Sunderland and Queen’s University Belfast.
I am a peer mentor with the Social Mobility Foundation and help mentor students who wish to pursue medicine achieve their goal (targeted at students from lower income schools and families).
During my time at secondary school I was a prefect and tutored the younger years with their GCSEs and junior certificate exam (specific to my secondary school).
I successfully passed my Medical School Finals in my 4th year (the new MLA AKT) and gained the ranking of 10th in my year group

I love to read and write: my poem was shortlisted for the Singapore Poetry Festival in 2020; I have published a legal article in the Singapore Comparative Law Review; and one of my first-class university essays was published in Per Incuriam (a publication run by the Law Society at Cambridge). My name’s Taka, and I’m a recent graduate from Magdalene College, University of Cambridge. I have a strong academic background having ranked in the top three highest performers across the entire University. I read Human, Social, and Political Sciences, specialising in Politics and International Relations.

As for my teaching style, I am results-driven. I know that in the short time we have together during tutoring sessions, you want to make the most of every minute.
