PPE Tutors : 1-1 PPE Preparation

I graduated from the University of Oxford with a first-class degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE). I am working as a tutor whilst I continue my studies towards a MA in politics from Kings College London. My research interests are in 20th century political philosophy but tutor a wide range of subjects, specialising helping students to prepare for the the TSA Oxford entrance exam, personal statement guidance and Oxford interview preparation.

Currently I am on track to graduate from King’s College London with the highest possible grade and have received an offer to return to next year for further postgraduate study. Ultimately I am to obtain a teaching position within academia and peruse a career publishing my research in the fields of Politics and Philosophy.

Outside of teaching and academia I enjoy spending time with my friends, especially outdoors.

Darcy Dixon graduated from the University of Oxford in 2022 with a High 2.1 and several first class papers.

In Oxford, Darcy was an access rep for her JCR, was the Equity rep for Oxford Drama Society, and the Outreach rep for ACS. She sang at Keble College and was an Open Day rep for the Theology Faculty. Darcy went to St Peters studying the Joint honours degree Philosophy and Theology. Darcy was in the Top 100 Undergraduates for Future Leaders Magazine.

Darcy has done a TEDx talk on the power of change and immediate action. Darcy is also the Vice Chair of the Black Head Students Network, an organisation committed to propelling Black youth leadership within schools. Currently, Darcy is Resident Creative at City University of London, in Islington.

Darcy was on the Young Mentor programme for the Young Vic Theatre, where she was trained to advise industry professionals.

Hi everyone! My name is Will and I have recently graduated from Oxford with a First Class Honours degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. I studied at New College, where I was an academic scholar specialising in Economics and Politics, where I received the highest mark in my graduating cohort in my International Economics module. Prior to this, I attended a non-selective state school in special measures, so I know how daunting the application process can be first hand! I would be happy to help any student regardless of their educational stage — from choosing the right course or college, to building the skills to score highly in the admissions process! I believe my own educational journey paired with my past successful tutoring experience will help me work with students to improve their grade, increase their confidence, or to secure a place at Oxbridge!

Hi! My name is Roheena and I’ve just finished my degree in PPE at Merton College, Oxford. In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, volunteering with charities I care about and learning new languages (currently working on my Mandarin).

Throughout my studies I, like most people, have had ups and downs, but I’m a firm believer that if you are willing to stick at something, it will work out, whatever your goal is. For me, my goal was nine level nines at GCSE and going to Oxford; I’m pleased to say I’ve had a wonderful time doing both. While I don’t yet know what your goals are, I’m keen to be with you as you work towards achieving them!

Hi! My name is Emily, and I’m a 21 year old from Frankfurt, Germany. I graduated with a BA in PPE from Jesus College, Oxford in 2023 and just completed a masters degree in economics at UCL.. I’m passionate about making the Oxbridge application process more accessible, and have previous experience with test and interview prep for Oxford applicants.

Academically, I’m a true all-rounder; my interdisciplinary degree equipped me with excellent writing, reasoning and maths skills. There are multiple subjects I have excelled in and have a passion for that I’m certain will rub off on my students: economics, philosophy, maths, English literature and my native German.
I also want to help Oxford hopefuls create the strongest application they can, starting with the personal statement. I would help my student identify, read up on and talk about specific areas of interest within their subject with passion and eloquence. Having achieved top 10th percentile results in the maths and verbal reasoning sections in both the Oxford TSA and the graduate GRE, I am well-versed in test taking strategies. I was also a nationally ranked competitive debater; as such I believe my public speaking training will help me instil confidence in applicants that find the interview process daunting.

I am a patient, rigorous and highly experienced teacher, tutor, educational consultant, textbook writer, course designer and translator with over 8 years experience in the UK and EU.

I took my undergrad studies at the University of Warwick and Sciences Po Paris in PPE, followed by graduate studies in Mathematics and Philosophy at the Sorbonne and the University of Paris.

I teach Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Economics, History, Philosophy, English Literature and languages: French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Latin and Ancient Greek). I teach Mathematics, Economics and Philosophy to Undergraduate level.

Aside from my academic interests, I am passionate about music (especially Jazz, Gospel and Disco) and film, playing the piano, saxophone. I am also avidly interested in politics and current affairs (for better or worse).

I’m Jojo, a recent first-class graduate from Oxford where I studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics. After studying Politics, History and Maths at A-Level, I took a two year hiatus in Israel to study Jewish philosophy, before beginning in Oxford. I have 4 years of tutoring experience and am passionate about working with students on their writing style, structure and ability to learn content. I am keen to work with all student to help them grow from their challenges, find their intellectual passion, and instil a love of learning. I most enjoy working with students on how to approach A-Levels and GCSEs as a whole, rather than focusing on a particular subject. In those sessions, I work with students on knowing what is expected of them in each subject, dealing with distractions, and structuring their time to improve their lives.
