My name is Becky and I am doing Physiotherapy at university so I enjoy learning and teaching Biology and Physical Education. I know lots of different strategies to help people with exam technique and general understanding of the subject.

I will make the lesson as fun as it can be to maintain motivation and enhance learning. I will tailor every lesson to what the students needs or if they don’t know where to start I will be able to help with that.

Creating a plan and a time table is my speciality for any achievement so I can implement this into tutor sessions if a revision schedule is wanted to help keep on track.

I love to go on hike’s with my dog up hills, do yoga, and I am in a netball team also I enjoy lots of other sporting activities and love to discus them and apply them to relevant questions especially in Physical Education.

Hi I’m Mike.

Why choose me as your tutor? With my robust educational background, teaching experience, and supportive approach, I am dedicated to helping each student achieve their best, both academically and personally. Let me help you maximise your potential in KS3 Science and KS4 Biology in a way that suits your individual learning style.

My career began with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of the West of England, in 2000. In 2010, I transitioned into education, earning my Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from King’s College London. I then worked as a teacher of science for three years. In 2013, I returned to the field of physiotherapy and recently completed an MSc in physiotherapy with Distinction from the University of Brighton in 2023.

During my master’s program, I focused significantly on learning approaches, which enhanced my teaching skills and led to my involvement in peer mentoring. I am proud to have guided all three of my mentees to achieve distinctions in their own courses. I am also an Associate Fellow of the Advance HE Board since 2020. Due to a diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension, I stepped away from clinical physiotherapy practice. Tutoring allows me to continue my passion for teaching and to engage with learning in a flexible manner that accommodates my health needs.

I am known for my friendly and approachable personality, essential traits that help alleviate the natural anxieties associated with learning. I encourage an open dialogue and a questioning mindset, which fosters a deeper understanding and a more enjoyable learning experience.

    Hi I am Jenni.

I am a 28 year old graduate student starting my 5th year of medicine at the University of Sunderland in August 2024. I previously qualified and worked as an NHS physiotherapist before deciding to study medicine.

    Medicine:
I thoroughly enjoy studying medicine and hope to help others to gain entry into medical school. I received offers from the University of Sunderland and the University of Nottingham and have had practice at MMIs. I am ambitious and strive to encourage everyone to reach their potential – as such I have organised teaching within the medical school to improve student’s knowledge of pre-hospital and emergency medicine and I have given peer teaching on immunology. I have also been involved with research in immunology and I have presented a poster at the British Society of Immunology Conference in December 2023. I have also been involved in research in HIV and we are due to submit our paper to an international journal later this year. I have received a number of awards while at medical school including first in year for knowledge exams in year 3 and 4, and first in OSCEs in year 2, 3 and 4.

    Physiotherapy:
I attended interviews at the University of Teesside, University of Bradford and University of Northumbria, and received offers from all three universities. I attended University of Northumbria and graduated in 2017 with a first class degree honours in Physiotherapy. From here I worked as a full time NHS physiotherapist for three years and then a part time NHS physiotherapist for a further 2 years while also attending medical school full time. I recently gave up my physiotherapy registration but I still have connections with physiotherapists and work closely with physios in my role as a medical student.

    Outside of studies:
It is important to have a work-life balance. Outside of studying, I enjoy learning languages including German and Greek. I also enjoy running and going to the gym. I volunteer as a supporter for my local BASICS charity and I also attend motor sport events as a trainee rescue volunteer.

I look forward to working with you!

I am amirreza, currently in my fourth year of studying Medicine and Surgery. I would like to share some aspects of my academic journey and experiences that I believe align with your esteemed institution’s values and aspirations.

My academic path at the University of Padua has been marked by active participation and a strong commitment to my fellow students. As the official representative of the entire Medicine and Surgery Course in English, I have had the privilege of assisting my peers with their academic and personal challenges. My role extended to providing valuable tutoring, enabling them to grasp complex course materials more effectively.

Additionally, I have been an integral part of the Padua Medical Council, where I collaborated closely with professors and council members. Our collective efforts have contributed to curriculum enhancements and the organization of elective courses like emergency medicine. Moreover, I actively participated in the admission process for new students, helping to shape the future of our program.

As a tutor, both within and outside the university, I have channeled my passion for becoming a doctor into guiding others. My dedication to understanding the material on a profound level is fueled by my belief that one day, this knowledge will enable me to save lives. For now, my greatest joy lies in assisting aspiring medical students in achieving their dreams of gaining admission to medical school. Together, we can make a significant difference.

Furthermore, I take pride in consistently ranking as a top student in my course. This reflects my unwavering commitment to excellence in my studies.

Beyond academia, I am an enthusiastic voluntary member of the Red Cross, where I have the opportunity to contribute to humanitarian causes and make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

    Warm regards,

    amir reza
