I am a working doctor in London, having graduated from Imperial College London with 1st class hons in BSc and distinction star in MBBS. I am passionate about teaching and working with young people, with extensive experience in teaching children, adolescents and adults in one-to-one, small and large groups.
I have been an active teacher and mentor for the past 13 years. I tutor younger students within and outside of Imperial, as well as within my place of work. I have delivered numerous presentations, clinical skills sessions and tutorials to various groups within the workplace. I have also taken an active role in research, audits and reviews.
I have volunteered at various conferences and workshops, with roles including didactic teaching (COMET PACES conference, Vision Junior Conference, Medical School Application mentor, University application mentor for La Retraite High School for Girls) and supervisor.
I have worked on various interview panels (Vision Roadshow, Vision Senior Conference, MedEd OSCE tutoring, MedEd OSCE examination helper, Muslim Medics OSCE exams, Global Summer School helper, Potmed Ethics tutor) and in the general organisation of these events. I also worked as a mentor for In2Medical School for 4 years.
I have worked a mentor for younger students for the past 13 years. This has included academic mentoring (e.g. Outreach Summer Schools) as well as pastoral mentoring (e.g. Pathways to Medicine Summer Schools, Outreach Sutton Scholars Summer Schools for years 9-12).
Hi, my name is P (that is actually not my real name but that is the name I go by). I am currently studying my masters in Physician Associate at Swansea University. I was born and raised in London, lived in Nottingham for a little while and moved again to Swansea but I am originally from Nepal. I like to laugh a lot and make education fun, education is not all that serious!! We just need to understand the specification and the right techniques to be successful :).
The three main traits my friends would use to describe me would be outgoing, creative and optimistic. I enjoy watching Netflix (especially reality TV and action/thriller programmes) , going the gym and scrolling through on my phone. My favourite cuisine is Mexican for the birria style tacos. The most embarrassing moment was when I had no minors on my driving test but only one serious and that was for something that was very silly (stopping at the wrong red light) :/.
Hi! I’m Mezaan and I am currently in my second year studying Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging). Studying in the capital city of the UK is extremely rewarding due to London’s endless opportunities, experiences, and most of all, gaining insight in some of London’s top hospitals. I chose to study Radiography due to the interesting and unique blend of working with highly advanced technology and patient contact, as well as the vital role radiographer’s have in a patient’s treatment plan. X-ray’s are fundamental in medicine and to be able to be a part of the imaging department and a forefront of healthcare stuck out to me a lot which is why this is the career path i chose to take!
I would love to help student’s master the all-important interview and gain the biggest sense of relief by seeing an offer email after their all hard work and preparation. Trust can be put into me that I will be able to offer great tips and support to do the absolute best in your radiography interview and gain a place on this amazing course!
