Medical Law Tutors : 1-1 Medical Law Preparation

I hold an Upper Second Class Honours in my Master’s degree in Pharmacy and have been working in various pharmacy settings since the age of 19. Over the years, I have gained valuable experience across both NHS and private healthcare sectors, including placements and roles in general practice, hospital pharmacy, and community settings. This diverse exposure has enabled me to develop a broad, flexible, and adaptable skill set, while significantly strengthening my clinical knowledge. Working in multidisciplinary teams and caring for patients from a range of backgrounds has also enhanced my communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. These experiences have given me the confidence and competence to thrive in complex clinical environments and deliver safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care.

I’m Amba, an award-winning law tutor, legal consultant and mum to a 13-year-old. I have nearly 20 years’ experience in legal practice and have worked across several areas of law, including family law, private client, employment, civil litigation and conveyancing. I now work as a consultant and run a family law department, which means I bring real legal practice into my teaching rather than relying only on textbook examples.

Alongside practice, I have been tutoring law students online for 7 years and have supported over 1,500 students across A-Level Law, CILEX, LLB, LLM, LPC, GDL, SQE and other legal courses. In 2026, I won the Post-16 Tutor Award, judged by an independent panel, which recognised the quality of my teaching and support.

I also teach internationally, with many students based in the MENA region, and I understand the challenges faced by students studying English law from overseas. I am SEN-friendly and have both professional and lived experience of neurodiversity, including ADHD and parenting an SEN child. My approach is supportive, structured, honest and focused on helping students build confidence, understand the law properly and improve their written work.

I am currently intercalating in MSc Health Data (Global Health specialisation), having completed four years of medical school and the Medical Licensing Assessment. I aspire to specialise in paediatrics, with a subspeciality interest in infectious diseases and immunology. I entered Lancaster Medical School with a scholarship in 2019 and have since undertaken senior responsibilities at the University level (Complaints Panellist) and faculty level (Lead Academic Representative – Lancaster Medical School). I have been recognised for services to the University and coordinated student-led medical research projects.

Applying to medical school in the United Kingdom can be a complex process, particularly for those with no familial connections to healthcare. Having first-hand experience of this, I am proactive and always willing to support aspiring applicants from all backgrounds to make sure they have the best chance at getting a place. I am well aware that this can also be an anxious time for the parents and loved ones. I am always happy to answer any questions, day or night, to help resolve any concerns.
