I’m Gabriella Ata Alla, a medical student at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, and I’m here to support students not just academically, but through every step of their journey, especially those aspiring to study medicine.

My path hasn’t been typical. I moved to the UK in Year 11 and had to self-teach the entire GCSE syllabus in under seven months. It was a huge challenge, but one that taught me how to adapt, stay focused, and work under pressure. I passed all my GCSEs, earned a 6–6 in Science, and got into a top sixth form college. There, I continued to push myself, taking part in the Chemistry Olympiad and earning a Bronze certificate.

I consider myself a resilient, determined, and solution-focused person, and that’s also what I bring to my tutoring.

Alongside subject tutoring, I also help aspiring medical students. I’ve personally sat two medical school interviews — one where I struggled, and one where I succeeded. Through both experiences, I’ve learned exactly what interviewers are looking for: clarity, confidence, reflection, and authenticity. I now use that insight to help others prepare effectively. I focus on helping students present themselves genuinely and powerfully, making sure they understand how to stand out as competitive, well-rounded candidates.

I know how stressful this path can be. But I also know how much of a difference the right guidance can make. I don’t just teach the material — I help students build confidence, develop smart strategies, and feel genuinely prepared for the challenges ahead.

I am a recent first class biomedicine graduate from the University of East Anglia, having attained 85% on my dissertation and only first class marks throughout my degree.

I have earned a place to commence Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) at the University of East Anglia in September 2025 (one of 30 individuals offered a place to study). Consequently, the medicine application process is at the forefront of my mind, and I look forward to sharing my knowledge and wisdom with prospective applicants!

I completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in 2022, having studied Biology, Chemistry and English at Higher Level. At age 18, I moved to the UK to pursue a Bachelors in Biomedicine at the University of East Anglia.

Now, at age 21, I look forward to commencing Graduate Entry Medicine and pursuing my career aspirations.

My pass-times include skiing, mountaineering and playing piano!

Hi! My name is Basma, and I’m a Graduate Entry Medicine student. Having personally experienced the challenges of the medical school application process, I understand how overwhelming interviews can feel and know exactly what selectors are looking for.

My background includes extensive experience in healthcare. I’ve worked as a Healthcare Assistant and Ward Hostess in leading London hospitals, volunteered in a hospice in Italy, and supported patients across a variety of clinical settings. These experiences have strengthened my communication, empathy, and professionalism, all key traits tested in MMIs and panel interviews.
As your tutor, I’ll focus on helping you structure your answers confidently, develop strong insight into healthcare values, and refine your delivery to sound authentic and professional. As a current PhD student in English at the University of Cambridge, with a solid academic background including a BA in Comparative Literature from QMUL and a Mst in English Literature (1830-1914), I am thrilled to offer my expertise and guidance in English language and literature, creative writing, Italian, and essay skills, as well as help with university admissions.
I am bilingual, fluent in Italian and English, and since 2016, I have been tutoring students aged 10 to 19 in various subjects. Hi! My name’s Gemma. I’m a 21 year old bilingual student (Italian mother and British father) who studies Chemistry at the University of Bath. I’ve finished my second year and am currently doing my year abroad in Berlin. I’ve been a tutor for over 2 years with another company in Italy where I taught students of different ages as well as privately. I also used to help out during sixth form in Chemistry workshops, where I assisted Year 12 students with their homework or understanding topics. I’m a positive person who aims to make the student as comfortable as possible by building a bond with them and helping them gain confidence alongside teaching them. I got an interview from Oxford so I am familiar with the questions and preparation required for the interview as well as an interview from Imperial College London, where I also got an offer from.

My name is Lola, I am a third year student of Italian and Spanish at the University of Oxford.

I was born in New York, but grew up attending an international IB school in Serbia.

I moved to London to complete the IB Diploma Programme, where I took Higher Level English Literature, Spanish B and History, alongside Standard Level Mathematics, Biology and Film. To my shock but not my teachers’, I managed to achieve the maximum 45/45 IB points.

I am currently on my Year Abroad and am studying Italian Literature for a semester at the Università di Bologna in Italy. After this, I plan to volunteer in either Spain or Latin America, before returning to Oxford for my final year.

Aside from my greatest passions of Italian and Spanish (both language and literature), I also like to dabble in journalism.

Hi I am Dr Muhammad Tayyab, a passionate educator, with vast experience of teaching GCE A levels, IB and GCSE O level. My specialties are in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences and Mathematics. I have also helped students with medical school entrance exams such as IMAT, BMAT and UCAT, and Medical School Interviews. I help students at achieving excellent grades by opting student specific tailored teaching approach.
I graduated with an honor in Masters in Medicine and Surgery degree from University of Pavia in Italy. Prior to that I had achieved 4A*s in my A levels Pre-Medicine program and 8A*s in O levels, earning recognition as the top student in both school and high school. This foundation has given me the ability to excel as an educator in these relevant education boards.
Over the years, I have been teaching every student with a unique method, catering to their individual learning style and requirements. Be it improving grades, deepening one’s understanding of a subject, or getting prepared for university entrance exams, I develop strategies for sure success.
