Hi there! My name is Grace and I have just finished a French Literature MSt at Keble College, Oxford, for which I received a Distinction. I also completed
a History and French BA for my undergraduate at Somerville College, Oxford and got a First Class. I’ve been tutoring for several years now so I have lots of experience, and I really enjoy being able to help students wherever I can. I’ve always put my academic studies first, and I know how important it is to do your best in exams; I find it extremely rewarding when I can help students to achieve this. Having got all A*s in GCSE and A-Level, and successfully passed through Oxford’s rigorous admissions process, I know first-hand what is required to do well at all of these stages. I also really enjoy teaching students and hope that my enthusiasm will make their sessions enjoyable – I’ve always seen myself becoming a teacher, and my career plan is to become a university lecturer!

Hi there, my name is Ronan Goss and I am a recent 1st class land economy graduate at the university of Cambridge. Since I was 16 I have tutored various students in a range of subjects and levels, including mathematics, business and economics. Since then I have worked with a range of students for both GCSE and A-level, and I can work with exam boards such as Edexcel, AQA, IB, and WJEC. More recently I have tutored 8 students who have applied to Land Economy at Cambridge, assisting in personal statement writing, admission tests, and interview preparation. Some of these students have started or will be starting at Cambridge, with many others securing places at the UK’s most prestigious universities.

In my spare time I love to travel, and I am currently living in and around Portugal tutoring remotely. After travelling I have an offer to join a leading consulting firm based in the UK.

I recently graduated with a Masters in Global and Imperial History from the University of Oxford in June 2023 after having completed my Bachelors in History from Oxford in June 2022. At university, I was involved with various student societies, most recently having completed my term as Editor-in-Chief of the Oxford Review of Books. Currently on a gap year, I am looking forward to tutoring students interested in academic study at Oxford or Cambridge, with a particular focus on the Humanities. I would love to hear from students who require extra help with school or academic work. Equally, I would be happy to provide ‘liberal arts’ tutoring for students interested in the Humanities that goes beyond the limits of a school curriculum and introduces them to the vast diversity of subjects and skills that the Humanities has to offer. This knowledge can be especially useful for students while writing EPQs or other forms of coursework as well as providing a good foundation before embarking on undergraduate study.

Hi ! My name is Ella and i’m currently a vet student at The Royal Veterinary College, London. I previously studied the gateway to Veterinary medicine course at RVC so have had an extra year of learning and experience at the university. Although I can understand and have been through the stress and anxiety of applying to vet school, I want to help and allow you to turn that around and really enjoy and get the most out of your interviews and application the same way I did ! I also used medic mind to be able to achieve where I am today and since then have helped others with their vet application so know all the tips and tricks to help you get into the university you want. In relevance to the veterinary medicine application process, I have worked very hard and did most of the research of the application process myself. With my experience I want to give everyone who wants and deserves it the opportunity to study veterinary medicine.

I received my early education in Kent, studying at Tonbridge School where I achieved 7 A*’s and 3 A’s at GCSE level. I then went on to study my A levels, I chose Pre-U art, Mathematics, Geography, and Physics where i achieved A*,A*,A*, B respectively. I applied to study Architecture at Cambridge, UCL, Sheffield, and Lancaster. I was successful in all my applications but in the end, I chose Cambridge.

During my time at university, I engaged well with my academic studies as well as extra-curricular activities. To name one, I found a passion in rowing which taught me a great deal about leadership and working as a team. During the breaks between terms, I had the chance to work in a small architectural firm in London which gave me invaluable experience. Even getting the chance to design a real project on my own.

I have now completed my undergraduate degree in Architecture at Cambridge where I achieved a 2, 1. I am now looking to join the working world for the next two years, after which I will return to my studies for a Masters in Architecture. More specifically I am intent on gathering a variety of work experience, and tutoring is an integral part of this.

I can adapt my tuition to a variety of subjects and interests, which is integral to distinguishing a candidate from the competition. I am well versed in the strategies employed by Cambridge interviewers that can throw off many candidates, and understand exactly what they are looking for in a student. Hi, I am Ekansh, a second-year Medical student studying at St. George’s, University of London. I am quite experienced with tutoring, and as someone who is a recent school leaver, I am also well acquainted with teaching these concepts to fellow peers back when I was still in school.

I have scored well in both GCSEs/IGCSEs (8 A*s) and in IB (43 points), as well as getting 97th percentile (3040) in the UCAT when I sat it during the 2021 session. I am also somebody who received all interview offers as an international applicant applying to the UK, and managed to secure 4 offers for medicine at Newcastle. St. George’s, University of London, UCLAN and Brunel.

I am someone who is very approachable, as I believe that this is a key quality that a teacher must showcase to their students, in order to foster a better relationship between them. In doing so, students can easily ask any doubts and clarify any ideas that they may have trouble understanding, or any external affairs that may be bothering them.

Additionally, I believe that my own personal successes during my time at school came from having approachable and reliable teachers, as well as peers, that were there to support me every step of the way, which included and was not just limited to the subject content that they were responsible for teaching. In doing so, they went above and beyond their duties and really helped foster a safe and nurturing environment for me to progress with my education, which I hope to do with my students as well.
