Hi! I’m Rosie, a recent graduate in Human Sciences at Oxford University. I have been tutoring for over 5 years and have accumulated over 500 hours’ experience spanning a wide range of subjects and ages. I specialise in one-to-one tuition in GCSE and A level maths and biology and Oxbridge application support for Human Sciences and related fields, such as Biology or Natural Sciences). I am originally from London, but currently living in Baltimore while pursuing a master’s in Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University. I’m interested in all things public health, and hope to work in the public sector after finishing my master’s.

I love tutoring as it is an opportunity to help students build their confidence and start to enjoy a subject, sometimes for the first time. I know all too well how stressful public exams in particular can be, so I aim to ease some of that anxiety by providing 1:1 tailored support and passing on advice from my own experiences. Having gone through university applications myself, I can also help students prepare for admissions statements, tests, and interviews.

Aside of academics, I enjoy wild swimming, jogging, and playing tennis. I also play clarinet in an orchestra and saxophone in a (very mediocre) band. I look forward to hearing from you!

Having just completed medical school, I understand the challenges many medical students face and the transition into clinical practice. Being newly graduated, I am well-versed in the most up-to-date systems, including recent NICE guidance and the latest BNF updates, which I actively apply in my daily practice.

I achieved A*s in A-level Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Economics before going on to study Biomedical Sciences at the University of Oxford, where I graduated with a First Class degree. I was also awarded the Academic Exhibitioner Prize by Balliol College for consistent academic excellence, and I enjoy bringing this same passion for education into my role as a tutor. As President of Oxford’s Biomedical Sciences Society, I have a passion for science, something I am keen to share with my students.

I am a final-year medical student with over five years of experience teaching Science at a high level, specialising in Biology, Chemistry, and medical sciences.
