About Me
Hi, my name is Ips. I’m an undergraduate Biomedical Science student from the UK.
I am creative, adaptable, and forward-thinking, with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to develop and manage relationships.
I am an ambitious, enthusiastic, and hardworking individual looking to develop my academic skills in the professional world of healthcare and science. I am also a keen learner in all fields and aspects. Further to add, I am adept at public speaking and am receptive to change, and willing to learn and take on board exciting challenges.
I like writing and have written several unpublished short books and articles. Aside from my love of traveling, I also enjoy playing sports and reading. If I’m missing, then it’s best to look for me in the kitchen whipping together a tasty meal or punching the bag at my gym for the extra pump of endorphins and dopamine.
I’m often found dawdling in the world of academic creativity. As a nerd who doesn’t always ace her exams, I’m always there for a good conversation with a strong espresso at hand 🙂
My teaching style
I am adaptable, and will always ensure that my tutee is comfortable with the teaching method, helping them excel and get reach their true potential. I cannot emphasize the importance of organization. I like to teach in a methodical and chronological way in order to properly structure revision and drill down into concepts with detail. I am happy to revisit topics for further clarification and will always provide useful and reflective homework.
For skills such as interviews and public speaking – it is really important for me to understand the person and then help them to enhance the amazing qualities they already have!
My past experience
I have been tutoring since 2018. I am also experienced with teaching students with learning difficulties – adjusting to what works best for them.
Having done GCSE and A-Levels – I can relate to my students and will be able to help them from my own personal experience. I am super friendly and would like to help every step of the way – I believe it is really important to build a rapport with my tutee.
My Proudest Achievements
I like doing project work and anything creative and completed an Extended Project Qualification about Mental Health, achieving an A*.
I would say my proudest achievement is being a DHead of School and a lead student voice representative in university.
