Hi! I’m a final year Dental student at the University of Manchester 🙂 I’ve had lots of experience in tutoring students and prospective students one on one, reviewing personal statements (even if they’re for different courses or courses that are slightly related – e.g. Medicine!), and I’ve provided a lot of Q&A sessions for how I got into Uni and how I got 4/4 of my offers.

I received offers from King’s College London, Queen Mary College, Cardiff University, and the University of Manchester. I come from a socioeconomically deprived area, so I understand how it feels to be in competition for a University spot against others with better luck of the draw. I also have ADHD so I know how it feels to be a neurodivergent student and require slightly different styles and modes of teaching and concentration.

I love working with people and helping them – it’s part of why I want to go into Dentistry! I’d love for a chance to tutor even more people and make sure they’re receiving the best quality education and top personal tips for getting into Uni. Since I’ve worked as a Student Ambassador at UoM, I’ve also received “inside info” on how to ace your interview, and going through so many interviews myself as both the interviewee and the interviewer has given me a lot of experience so I can share all my knowledge with you!

Hello! My name is Sabina, and I am an experienced tutor with a strong academic background in Computer Science and over 2 years of tutoring experience. I teach Maths, Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), English support, and IT/Computer skills, adapting each lesson to match the individual learning style of my students. I focus on making lessons interactive and engaging by using real-life examples, stories, and activities that make learning both enjoyable and effective.

In my tutoring experience, I have worked with students of different age groups, helping them prepare for exams, improve their grades, and build confidence in subjects they once found challenging. I create personalized lesson plans, break down complex topics into simple steps, and encourage curiosity so that students develop a deeper understanding.

Parents and students I have worked with often praise my supportive teaching style, which combines patience, structure, and creativity. My goal is not only to help learners achieve academic success in Maths, Science, English, and IT but also to develop problem-solving skills, confidence, and a genuine love for learning that will benefit them throughout their education.

I have over 25 years of experience as a teacher and course leader at a further education college in Leeds, northern England. Throughout my career, I have taught a wide range of subjects across ICT, Programming, and Games Development courses – in particular computer languages and game engines. I also have extensive experience in web programming, database development, and general computer skills instruction.
In recent years, I have played a key role in the development and delivery of the T Level Digital Software Development course, teaching Python, software design, and software testing. I have also developed new units for the Access to higher education course that are now used by colleges nationally.
My responsibilities have included providing pastoral support to students, managing courses, ensuring quality assurance and verification standards, designing curricula, and interviewing prospective staff and students.
I take great pride in my professionalism, organisation, and approachable manner.

I am a dedicated and approachable tutor with a strong academic background in Artificial Intelligence and Electrical Engineering, alongside extensive experience working in UK secondary schools and one-to-one tutoring settings. I am currently studying for an MSc in Artificial Intelligence at Nottingham Trent University, where I was awarded a 40% merit-based scholarship in recognition of my academic performance.

I have worked as a Cover Supervisor and Teaching Assistant in Nottingham, supporting students across KS3 and KS4 and ensuring continuity of learning when teachers are absent. In these roles, I have supervised whole classes using pre-set lesson plans, maintained positive behaviour, and supported a wide range of learners, including SEN and autistic students, through clear instructions, structured routines, and adapted support. Alongside this, I have several years of experience as a private tutor, working one-to-one and in small groups with secondary school pupils to improve understanding, confidence, and academic outcomes.

I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential, not just by improving grades but by building confidence, independence, and effective study habits. I aim to make learning engaging, supportive, and accessible, helping students feel comfortable asking questions and developing a genuine understanding of their subjects.
