Hi all, I am Shiva, a GPHC qualified pharmacist for 8 years, specialising in paediatrics, clinical trials, surgery and general medicine. Qualified from UCL in 2014, I specialised as a hospital pharmacist and worked in London hospitals, including Barts Health NHS Trust, Kings College Hospital, Great Ormond St and Whittington Hospital.
During COVID, I transitioned from pharmacy into the pharmaceutical industry and now work as a medical advisor within medical affairs.
My passion is teaching. I have been a tutor for over 4 years and helped many students develop their clinical skills, calculation skills and provided preparation for the pharmacy exam.
I also help professionals that are looking to move into the pharmaceutical industry or have recently joined the pharmaceutical industry and are about to sit their ABPI exam.

Hello! My name is Hafsah, I am a graduate from King’s College London with a First Class Hons in Pharmacy, I am a qualified Pharmacist with experience in GP practice and Community. I have 5+ years of tutoring experience teaching English Maths and Science and I also specialize in helping students with their Pharmacy application for example with interviews and personal statement. i have recently passed my GPHC examination on first attempt so I am well placed in guiding students and informing them in tips and techniques to pass this examination. I’m a dedicated and patient tutor with a strong passion for helping students achieve their academic goals. I hold an Upper Second Class Honours in my Master’s degree in Pharmacy and have been working in various pharmacy settings since the age of 19. Over the years, I have gained valuable experience across both NHS and private healthcare sectors, including placements and roles in general practice, hospital pharmacy, and community settings. Currently undertaking Medicine (MBChB) degree at Aberdeen University. Completed A-Levels at King Edward VI Five Ways Grammar School, then moving on to study MPharm at UEA School of Pharmacy (Norwich). Completed my Pharmacist training year in Hospital and GP before applying for Med School; receiving 3/4 offers.
Wide range of expereince teaching subjects from Science, Maths and Religious Studies at GCSE level and beyond. Helped run the 11+ Admission Tests for the King Edward VI Foundation in Birmingham while also teaching Numeracy and Literacy in Primary Schools.

I am an award winning tutor, who has twice won Tutor of the Year awards from the Tutor’s Association, with 20 years teaching/tutoring experience both inside and outside the classroom. I have QTS and have worked as both an examiner and a marker for AQA, EDEXCEL, OCR, and WJEC exam boards.

I am currently a 1st year medical student at Anglia Ruskin University. I am a graduate and have completed an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy from Kingston University. I have worked as a hospital pharmacist at the largest trust in London and worked as a clinical GP pharmacist.

I have experience in working in many clinical environments across hospital and GP which can be useful in interviews for developing simple patient encounters into reflective experiences. I have worked across multiple specialties, on-call shifts, Nightingale hospital (COVID) and I am an independent-prescriber. These experiences have shaped my personality, confidence and communication skills to a point where I feel they could really benefit being taught to others. I was also once a shy timid interviewee nervous about being interviewed no matter how much I had prepared. I have been able to drastically change that over the years by developing those confident communication skills that are essential not only for interviews but a career in medicine as well.

Applying to medicine as a graduate or from A-levels can be daunting however having completed the process recently myself along with my work experience, I believe I have the skills and knowledge to help you secure a place in medicine. A lot of the time, it isn’t about the lack of work experience that can hinder your application, but the way you talk about it. A simple experience can be elevated and utilised to show reflection and skills that have come from it. As I have been exposed to many clinical/non-clinical scenarios which all helped develop multiple skills, I will be able to help you recognise your own talents and skills and sell them to the interviewer in such a way to secure your place.
