I loved my experience with Study Mind. The tutors were very friendly, and I liked how they tailored the approach to my weaknesses, with regular homework and testing in between the Zoom 1-1 lessons.

Hi, I’m LucyAnne! I’m 23 years old and I live in London. I work as an actor and freelance singer, and also part-time as a teaching assistant and a tutor.
I studied History, English, Music and Biology at A Level (3 A*s, 1A) and, while at school, also gained two diplomas in French Horn (LRSM and DipABRSM) alongside Grade 8 Singing (ABRSM) and Verse & Prose (LAMDA), Grade 7 Piano (ABRSM) and Acting (LAMDA) and Grade 5 Music Theory (ABRSM). I then undertook a BA in History and English at Oxford, during which time I was awarded two scholarships for academic achievement. Since graduating in 2021, I have also gained an Acting Diploma from the London School of Dramatic Art.
I absolutely loved my time at uni, and while at school I was lucky enough to have some amazing teachers that showed me how fun learning can be. I would love to be able to inspire others like I was inspired.
My hobbies include cooking, reading and going on walks around my local area looking for cats to stroke!
I recently graduated with a Masters in Global and Imperial History from the University of Oxford in June 2023 after having completed my Bachelors in History from Oxford in June 2022. At university, I was involved with various student societies, most recently having completed my term as Editor-in-Chief of the Oxford Review of Books. Currently on a gap year, I am looking forward to tutoring students interested in academic study at Oxford or Cambridge, with a particular focus on the Humanities. I would love to hear from students who require extra help with school or academic work. Equally, I would be happy to provide ‘liberal arts’ tutoring for students interested in the Humanities that goes beyond the limits of a school curriculum and introduces them to the vast diversity of subjects and skills that the Humanities has to offer. This knowledge can be especially useful for students while writing EPQs or other forms of coursework as well as providing a good foundation before embarking on undergraduate study.
Hi I’m Claire! I’m a smiley, friendly tutor with extensive experience in tutoring Oxbridge admissions, English Literature at GCSE, A-Level and degree level, and History at GCSE and A-Level. I love helping students gain the places they deserve at their dream universities and reaching their academic goals. Other than being a tutor, I spend my time running around to auditions as a professional actor! I’ve been tutoring for 8 years now, and I really think that I have one of the best jobs in the world.
I have a First Class degree in English from Cambridge, and clean A* GCSE and A-Level results. I know what it takes to thrive academically, how to work smart, and the best ways to get students to where they want to be, efficiently. I understand the pressures of being a student, and that time is of the essence! I help students to follow their passions and interests in a way that works hard for them when it comes to admissions and exams.

Hello! My name is Zarah, and I am an English literature and language graduate from the University of Oxford.
My journey to Oxford from a state school has taught me more than anything the importance of understanding the process. Having a mentor myself, I greatly benefitted from learning about the Oxford system, and now I have gone through it, I would love to pass on this information.
My hobbies include reading, watching films, cooking and travelling. As a student, it is so important to not lose your hobbies and instead use them as a break from work to avoid burnout. That is why I emphasise to my students that overworking, while it may help retain information, is detrimental to exams and interviews. Being overwhelmed is what we want to avoid, and so my tutoring emphasises working efficiently more than anything. I hope to help students learn how to set and achieve goals through efficient working routines and am excited to help you on your journey to A*s and Oxbridge.
Hi, my name is Louisa Grinyer. I have just graduated from Trinity College, the University of Cambridge with a First-Class BA in English Literature. I’m incredibly passionate about Literature and feel very grateful to have had the opportunity to explore such a diverse range of texts throughout my time at Cambridge. I obtained first class marks in all my final exams and my second year dissertation. Having the privilege to have individual, in depth, weekly supervisions with some of the world leading experts in their fields, I feel well equipped to guide prospective students through the application process. Specific interests include Tragedy, Shakespearean, Early Modern and Restoration Drama, and the novel through the eighteenth to the twentieth century. I have broad poetic interests, with expertise in the Renaissance sonnet, Romantic and Victorian poetry, and the War poets. Moreover, as a result of my passion for acting and writing, I have a strong understanding of contemporary drama. I obtained three A Stars and an A in the A Level Subjects History, English Literature, Theatre Studies, and French, respectively. It has been a pleasure incorporating these alternative interests into my study at Cambridge.
