Peyton Cherry is a Postdoctoral Affiliate with the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography who completed their DPhil in Anthropology in August 2025. Their doctoral research focused on sexual consent activism and education in Tokyo by comparing the activities of two grassroots organisations between 2022 and 2023. Their broader research interests are situated at the intersection of social anthropology, Japanese studies, and gender & sexuality studies. They plan to continue researching social movements and activist campaigns, especially related to consent, gender presentation, and creative practices.
