Hi! My name is Edie and I am looking forward to meeting you. I, on a personal level, understand the demands and pressures of school, and so I hope to make each tutee’s scholastic life easier by providing study support.
I am currently an undergraduate studying Psychology at Durham University, pursuing a career as an educational psychologist. Hence, I am always ready and happy to help others, especially with academics. I have prior experience helping my brother with his studies in IB and GCSE, alongside volunteering to tutor younger students (age 12-15) in Maths and Biology during my high school years. I have also lived in Asia, Europe and the UK, and hence have a broader understanding of the different cultural pressures associated with education.
In 2024, I graduated from the IB diploma programme in the top 10% of my cohort, so I am no stranger to a good work ethic and using effective study strategies to get top marks. I am also familiar with the high-pressure environment of examinations, and so am able to give advice on how to maintain a work-life balance based on experience if requested. My favourite subjects were Psychology, Biology and Literature, but I mostly miss the supportive educational environment — fostered by my peers and teachers — that enabled me to thrive in my adolescent years. I now strive to create the same warm and informative environment with my future tutees, where questions are not just welcomed but encouraged.

Hi 👋 I’m Kara, a History and Politics graduate from Brasenose college, Oxford! I am super passionate about all things History and Politics as well as International Relations, English literature and Economics. I am available to help students with a wide range of challenges, from Economics A-level to achieving full marks in an EPQ. Outside of studying, I enjoy travelling, reading fiction and all types of exercise, especially the gym and I am a firm believer in having a great work life balance. After studying independently for many months during the pandemic and missing GCSEs, I am in a unique position to understand the mental stress placed on high achieving students who have missed large parts of their education; as your tutor I will do everything I can to support you academically and emotionally. I hold an Upper Second Class Honours in my Master’s degree in Pharmacy and have been working in various pharmacy settings since the age of 19. Over the years, I have gained valuable experience across both NHS and private healthcare sectors, including placements and roles in general practice, hospital pharmacy, and community settings. This diverse exposure has enabled me to develop a broad, flexible, and adaptable skill set, while significantly strengthening my clinical knowledge. Working in multidisciplinary teams and caring for patients from a range of backgrounds has also enhanced my communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. These experiences have given me the confidence and competence to thrive in complex clinical environments and deliver safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Hello! My name’s Susie, and I’m a recent graduate from the University of Oxford, having achieved a high 2:1 in English Language and Literature. I’m currently studying an MFA in Professional Acting at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School! I’m 21 years old, and originally from Wimbledon!
Having only graduated last year, I am all too familiar with the stresses of university applications and A-Levels. While my ultimate aim is to help my students achieve their very best potential, I believe that a too-rigorous emphasis on exams can detract from the joy of the learning process. My teaching style fosters a dialogue between tutor and student, cultivating an environment where we can enjoy stimulating conversations, active learning, and where no question is a bad one. My students not only are taught how to excel at their examinations, but this teaching stems from a desire for them to appreciate and enjoy the subjects they are studying.

I am a fully qualified teacher/ tutor with over ten years of experience, teaching from Primary to GCSEs/IGCSEs. I have lots of SEND experience and home-schooling / alternative provision experience. I specialize in teaching Maths and English (Language and Literature). I have experience working with AQA and Edexcel exam boards. My English Literature specialisms are Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Lord of the Flies, An Inspector Calls, A Christmas Carol, and Great Expectations, along with the Power and Conflict and Love and Relationship poetry anthologies. I tailor all of my sessions to each individual pupil’s needs. I aim to provide a positive learning experience, developing confidence, knowledge and independence. I ensure all of my sessions are engaging, allowing lots of opportunities for questioning and to ‘have a go’. I deal with any gaps in learning and any misconceptions, along with providing challenge.

I got to Cambridge without the help I needed, and that is why I am now dedicated to alleviate the same panic, stress and pressure by being a mentor and guide to many aspirants. I am a third-year law student and I know first-hand how confusing and intimidating the process can feel when you do not have guidance, and I have spent the past two years turning that experience into a clear, structured system that helps students succeed. I specialise in Law admissions, LNAT preparation and Oxbridge interview coaching, with consistent results across Oxbridge and Russell Group universities. My approach goes beyond grades and model answers. I focus on strategy, confidence, and how to think under pressure, so students walk into exams and interviews calm, prepared and in control. I offer a complete, supportive package and take genuine pride in seeing students exceed what they thought was possible.
