My name is Hector Sinclair, and I am a second-year medical student at Swansea University, where I secured a place on the highly competitive Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) programme. I graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Medical Science), achieving a distinction average. I know first-hand how daunting the journey to medical school can be, from perfecting personal statements to conquering the GAMSAT and excelling in medical interviews.

I have extensive experience teaching and mentoring students, currently working as a Senior Teaching Assistant in Anatomy at Swansea University. In this role, I lead engaging sessions for undergraduates and postgraduates, helping them grasp complex concepts and build confidence. Beyond my university role, I have provided tailored academic support through a private tutoring company, specialising in essay proofreading and personal statement coaching.

Hi 👋 I’m Kara, a History and Politics graduate from Brasenose college, Oxford! I am super passionate about all things History and Politics as well as International Relations, English literature and Economics. I am available to help students with a wide range of challenges, from Economics A-level to achieving full marks in an EPQ. Outside of studying, I enjoy travelling, reading fiction and all types of exercise, especially the gym and I am a firm believer in having a great work life balance. Hi there, I’m Maryam! I’m a French and Arabic student at Oxford.

I homeschooled, sitting my GCSEs and A-levels by age 13. Having taught myself many of the exams I sat, I have a lot to contribute to the field of teaching. For many subjects I would have an hour or two of tuition/week so I know how to maximise limited tuition time to get the most out of it.

After those exams I worked as a digital marketer, where I learnt how to manage a sales team and gained a ton of experience. I was encouraged by my family to go down the business route but with a growing interest in language and philosophy, I rebelled by sitting more A-levels (French A*, Arabic A*, Maths A*).

I want to go into academia and become a teacher because I love the subjects I am doing. I also love working with kids, and, being the eldest of three siblings, it comes naturally to me!

I have graduated from the University of Oxford with a 2.1 in Philosophy and Theology. Prior to attending Oxford, I achieved A*A*A* in English Literature, Latin and Religious Studies, with 5 A*S, 4 Grade 9s and a Grade 8 in GCSEs.

For the past few years, I have been a private tutor which has also entailed mentoring young students and seeing them progress and achieving their dream spots at their universities. This has enabled me to build client relationships and to handle multiple concurrent tasks, since I balanced tutoring with my ability to thrive in Oxford’s rigorous academic environment. I also believe that I work well under time constraints and to meet deadlines, which is an ability that my time at Oxford has prepared me well for.

I am well-placed to provide tuition at 11 and 13+, as well as English Language, English Literature and RE GCSE, A-Level and degree-level tuition. I am also up-to-date on examination syllabi and the requirements needed for achieving top marks.

I also mentor students in application for Oxbridge Classics, as I changed degrees in my third year, and assisted a student in her successful entrance to Oxford for Classics via personal statement, interview/test advice and general information about the course and university life.
