Hi. My name is Reza I am currently a third-year medical student at the University of Glasgow. I remember how daunting and struggling it was the first time I was beginning to apply for medical school. From A-levels, Interviews, UCAT and personal statements there were a lot of things I had no idea about. This sense of feeling ‘lost’ is the primary reason I took on this role at medic mind. I genuinely want to teach and more importantly, fix aspiring students’ mistakes. I don’t want them to make the same ones I made and learned from during my time applying to university. Through my experiences, I want to guide young people to help get into medical school. I also was a former medic mind tutee myself so I am familiar with the system and how to approach students. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball and cycling. Recently though, I have picked up the hobby of cooking.
Hello there, my name is Abena and I live in East London. I’m a really friendly, enthusiastic tutor, who enjoys helping students achieve their academic goals. Education has always been a huge priority in my life and I’ve had teachers that have helped me with my motivation and performance. They not only helped me with my subjects but also my motivation, something I hope to pass on to my future students as well.
Apart from tutoring, I enjoy cheerleading for my university and also part of the committee as the IT officer, helping with setting up the websites and posting on social media. In addition to this, I’m also president of two societies Oxford Black Medics Society and Mitski Society. I also regularly attend the gym and enjoy learning Spanish and Mandarin.
Fun fact: My name means I was born on a Tuesday
Hi there! I’m Sam, a friendly fourth-year medical student at Birmingham University. I’m here to help you get into the wonderful world of medicine by teaching you all you need to know to excel in your entrance exams and impress your interviewers. Medical school is famously fun, exciting, rich with learning experiences and prestigious but getting in can be hard and stressful. But I am here to help. I will go through any questions you have about any stage of the process, teach you tips and tricks for both interviews and exams that will make you stand out and share resources that helped me beat the competition. I will also share exclusive insights into what interviewers actually think about applicants and MMIs as I have worked with them in setting up interview stations and questions at my medical school and know what they are looking for in an answer. I am also very qualified to help. For both the BMAT and UCAT I achieved scores that placed me in the top 1% nationally and I received 3 medical school places and an Oxford interview. Now I am scoring in the top decile of my cohort at medical school – which is very relevant as I know well how to utilise what I learnt at school to make the most out of my medical education. I can therefore give you tips and tricks that will propel your exam performance into truly exceptional scores and can give personalised feedback tailored to your strengths and weaknesses. I can give you MMI style interviews much more accurately than most other medical students and tutors and have a unique insight into the mindset of examiners. I can’t wait to get to know you and share my knowledge, and I hope that you enjoy learning this content as much as I do teaching it!

As a second-year medical student at the University of Leicester, I’ve successfully navigated the challenging journey of academic examinations and medical school applications. Having recently experienced the pressures of GCSEs, A-levels, UCAT, and the rigorous medical school application process, I understand firsthand the daunting nature of these crucial academic milestones.
My academic achievements include 4 Grade 9s and 6 Grade 8s at GCSE, A*AA at A-level, and an A* in EPQ. I also scored in the top decile for UCAT with a Band 1 in SJT. This strong academic background, coupled with over a year of tutoring experience in a range of subjects, positions me well to guide students through their own academic journeys.
As your tutor, I’ll provide personalised teaching tailored to your unique learning style. We’ll focus on extensive exam practice as well as going over content and I will share effective techniques to help you achieve high grades. My approach emphasises regular, committed sessions designed to fit around both our schedules, ensuring you reach your maximum potential and desired results.
I believe that with the right guidance, every student can excel. My recent experiences allow me to offer relevant, up-to-date insights into exam preparation and application processes. I’m dedicated to helping you navigate these challenges successfully, just as I have done.
I have graduated from the University of Oxford with a 2.1 in Philosophy and Theology. Prior to attending Oxford, I achieved A*A*A* in English Literature, Latin and Religious Studies, with 5 A*S, 4 Grade 9s and a Grade 8 in GCSEs.
For the past few years, I have been a private tutor which has also entailed mentoring young students and seeing them progress and achieving their dream spots at their universities. This has enabled me to build client relationships and to handle multiple concurrent tasks, since I balanced tutoring with my ability to thrive in Oxford’s rigorous academic environment. I also believe that I work well under time constraints and to meet deadlines, which is an ability that my time at Oxford has prepared me well for.
I am well-placed to provide tuition at 11 and 13+, as well as English Language, English Literature and RE GCSE, A-Level and degree-level tuition. I am also up-to-date on examination syllabi and the requirements needed for achieving top marks.
I have tutoring experience in GCSE English Language, GCSE English Literature, GCSE Religious Studies and Oxbridge Classics admissions. I also mentor students in application for Oxbridge Classics, as I changed degrees in my third year, and assisted a student in her successful entrance to Oxford for Classics via personal statement, interview/test advice and general information about the course and university life. Therefore, I am available to support Oxbridge Classics admissions.
I have been tutoring for almost a decade now, different subjects and various ages. I taught students from as little as 4 and up to 58. I do believe that the way I teach a student and the technique I choose for them is not based on the age range but on the student themself. Every individual absorbs information in a different way regardless of their age and every individual also understands at a different pace. This has nothing to do with one being smarter than the other but this is how the human brain is, every brain is different and that is fine. We as teachers have to understand that brain and approach in the way that is tailored to it.
Tutoring may be a job but it is a hobby as well, I adore helping people realise how smart they are and to enhance their knowledge. This is actually one of the main reasons why I chose Psychology and Counselling as my degree, communicating and helping people is something very important to me.

Hello! I’m excited to help young learners build confidence and thrive in their early education. I’m currently studying for my MSc in Speech and Language Therapy at Health Sciences University, and I have a strong background in educational development. I completed my undergraduate degree in Educational Studies, where I gained valuable knowledge in child development, learning strategies.
Additionally, I have practical experience as a teaching assistant for one year in Years 1, 2, and 3, where I supported students across a variety of subjects. This experience has given me a deep understanding of how children learn and how to tailor lessons to meet each student’s individual needs.
I specialise in Maths, English, and Phonics at Key Stage 1, and I’m passionate about making learning engaging and enjoyable. Whether it’s supporting a child with their reading, phonics, or understanding maths concepts, my aim is to create a positive, supportive, and fun learning environment that helps children reach their full potential.
With a combination of hands-on experience and academic knowledge, I offer personalised support that builds confidence and encourages a love of learning. If you’re looking for a friendly, experienced, and dedicated tutor, I’d love to work with your child!

Hello, my name is Simon Hackett , and I’m an experienced tutor, Director at 4 Life Education alternative education provision, and ex Deputy Head at a vocational education setting. I’ve spent many years working with children and teenagers who haven’t quite found their place in mainstream school—and I know from experience that with the right support, the right approach, and a bit of patience, every young person can thrive.
I specialise in working with children who may have additional needs, struggle with behaviour or confidence, or just learn better in a different environment. I teach a range of subjects, including Maths, English, Construction, Sport, and life skills, and I always adapt lessons to suit the individual child. Whether your child needs help catching up, finding their confidence, or re-engaging with learning altogether, I aim to build a positive relationship first, because learning starts when a child feels safe, understood, and supported.
As a parent myself, I understand how important it is to know your child is in the right hands. I bring a calm, consistent, and encouraging approach to each session, and I keep communication open with families every step of the way. My sessions focus not just on education, but also on building your child’s confidence, self-esteem, and resilience. Every child learns differently, and I’m here to find the way that works best for yours.
