As a tutor, I bring a kind, caring, and empathic approach, deeply rooted in the belief that every child holds unique potential waiting to be nurtured. My practice is centred around developing individual capacity, confidence, and self-esteem through creative play and a Steiner-inspired educational philosophy.

I take time to understand each learner’s needs, designing a bespoke hidden curriculum that gently weaves academics and a natural problem-solving approach into meaningful, engaging experiences. This approach is especially supportive for children facing behavioural or personal challenges.

My goal is to foster a sense of curiosity and critical thinking, encouraging students to explore, question, and grow at their own pace—building not just knowledge, but a genuine love of learning.

Hi there! I’m Paul, and I’m a double-major in Political Science and Economics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Having grown up in Hong Kong, whilst being french, to now moving to the U.S. for college, I love new adventures and experiencing new things.

With a strong academic foundation — 11 A*s in IGCSEs and 42/45 predicted in the IB — I know what it takes to excel in challenging curriculums. My experiences have taught me the importance of building a solid understanding of concepts before tackling advanced problems. Whether it’s mastering exam techniques or bridging knowledge gaps, I focus on building confidence and clarity to help students reach their highest potential.

Beyond academics, I enjoy running, watching formula one, and reading up on world affairs/politics/news.

Beyond my academic background in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, I am deeply passionate about fostering engagement and curiosity in learning. My experience as President of the Debate Club and participation in societies such as PPE Football, Debate Society, and PPE Society have sharpened my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly—an essential skill for tutoring.

Additionally, my involvement in Manchester’s Kabaddi and Kho Societies, where I competed in regional and national tournaments, has given me a strong sense of discipline, teamwork, and resilience—qualities I bring into teaching. Organizing and leading initiatives, such as the Diwali Ball during my tenure as Vice President of Manchester Hindu Society, has reinforced my ability to manage and inspire groups effectively.

I am eager to bring this enthusiasm and strategic mindset to tutoring, helping students navigate their learning journey with confidence and curiosity. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my diverse interests and experiences can support student development.

While working with SEND children and being SEND myself, I’ve learnt many different ways to study and can help tailor the experience to you! While I can’t help you in the exam I can help prepping you for the big day. Learning is better when it fun, and you remember more! While achieving all my grades within compulsary school I have continued to get more qualifiactions in order to open more doors. I’m always learning new things and have a passion for learning that I’ve been told rubs off on other people. Over coming adversary with Dyslexia and Autism has made me learn so many different ways of remembering things, let me cut down the search for you and help a student acheive there best possibility.
