Bio Sciences Tutors : 1-1 Bio Sciences Preparation

I am a final year medical student at Flinders University who is about to graduate soon. In addition, to studying medicine at Flinders I have also participated in extracurriculars such as university sports and medrevue, as stage manager. Medrevue which is a musical that is organized by medical students every year.

I moved to Australia 10 years ago and did not have much experience with their tertiary education system. However, my experiences with volunteering and private tutoring helped me build a network which later helped me gain useful advice when trying to seek admission into an undergraduate university course. I believe I would be of use to anyone who needs some mentoring while trying to navigate the tertiary education system in Australia.

The networks I was able to establish during the course of my undergraduate degree helped me a lot when trying to gain admission into medicine in Australia. I studied Bachelors of Biomedicine at University of Melbourne graduating with a First class Honors Average and a GPA of 6.8out of a maximum of 7. I was a subjective representative as well. Following my undergraduate degree a spent an year of honors research with the aged care group at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. As a result of my research I was able to publish articles in reputable journals.

I am currently studying medicine at Flinders where some members of the faculty have let me know that I have been scoring in the top 10 % of students. I am a anatomy/dissection tutor for junior medical students as well

Hi! I’m Rosie, a recent graduate in Human Sciences at Oxford University. I have been tutoring for over 5 years and have accumulated over 500 hours’ experience spanning a wide range of subjects and ages. I specialise in one-to-one tuition in GCSE and A level maths and biology and Oxbridge application support for Human Sciences and related fields, such as Biology or Natural Sciences). I am originally from London, but currently living in Baltimore while pursuing a master’s in Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University. Hello! My name is Ro and I am a Natural Sciences Tripos graduate, having graduated with a high 2.1 and scoring 85 and 82 on my final examination essays. During my degree, I undertook various biology-orientated modules (including Ecology, Conservation, Mathematics, Plant Sciences, Biochemistry and Chemistry). From Key Stage 3 to GCSE, A-level and undergraduate level, I provide tutoring for students of all abilities and backgrounds, particularly GCSE and A-level Biology, Chemistry and French (for each of which I achieved a 9 and an A* at GCSE and A-level, respectively).

Additionally, I provide tutoring for admissions tests, both for 11+ stages and UCAS/university admissions, with my Cambridge application success providing a foundation of knowledge and lessons to impart on those students applying to Oxbridge and other universities.

I am also fluent in French, and therefore cater to bilingual students taking British examinations, helping these pupils get to grips with complex terminology and novel exam structures. Additionally, I tutor French GCSE and A-level, aiming to encourage lasting fluency.

Whilst some students may get everything they need from lessons, many pupils are left with gaps in knowledge or understanding. As every pupil is different, and hence learns differently, tutoring must be specific to the student in order for these gaps to be effectively filled.
