Joan Mcgrath Award winner at CambridgeI scored 97 per cent on my GCSE Economics

I am Uday Modhwadia, a recent graduate of the prestigious University of Cambridge. My academic journey at Cambridge has equipped me with a solid foundation in Economic Geography and urbanism, which I am eager to apply in a professional capacity. One of my key strengths is my ability to dissect and comprehend intricate themes within various subfields of geography, including post-colonial studies.

My time at Cambridge was a transformative experience that instilled in me a profound appreciation for the significance of education and knowledge dissemination. It is this appreciation that fuels my desire to work as a tutor, guiding and inspiring others to unlock their full potential and attain their academic aspirations.

I firmly believe that education is a powerful tool for personal growth and societal progress. Through my tutoring efforts, I aspire to play a role in enhancing the educational journeys of students worldwide. My goal is to empower them with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their studies and, ultimately, in their lives.

With a deep commitment to education and a passion for sharing knowledge, I am confident that I can make a meaningful impact in the lives of those I have the privilege to mentor. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the academic success and personal development of students across the globe.

4 A*s at A-LevelOffer from CambridgeImperialWarwickSheffieldUCL

I’m a second year engineering student at the University of Cambridge. A few of my hobbies are cricket and gym and i love to watch f1. I love the sciences and maths and enjoy teaching it and help people understand and enjoy it as much as I do. Everyone learns in different ways so in my opinion it’s important to understand how you learn and I will try and pick up on how you learn to help you understand as well as possible. There’s no such thing as a silly question so don’t ever be scared to ask and it’s good to vocalise your doubts so when you need help you can get it.It’s completely decided up to you what you want to focus on if you have a plan of what you want to do it is even better because it will help drive the lesson and help boost your learning the most as that what we both want to achieve.

Hi everyone!
My name is Aadam and I am an Engineering student at Trinity College, Cambridge.

I have had experience guiding students in their Cambridge Engineering (and STEM) applications in everything from personal statements to interviews. I have particular experience in tutoring the entrance exams/interviews for which I have already prepared many resources.

Having gone through the experience myself, I understand the concerns you will have and stresses that you will be under so rest assured I will be there to answer any questions that you might have and make the process as smooth and as comfortable as possible.

I am also fluent in French and German so I can tutor you in these languages as well as in English if you prefer.

I am ready to help you succeed and hope to see you in Cambridge!

I have also had a lot of experience tutoring online via Zoom (nearly 5 years now) in many subjects at GCSE (and A-Level) so I am completely familiar with the process and I know to harness the many benefits of online tutoring and how to completely avoid its inevitable drawbacks.

Hi there! My name’s Oli and I’m a 4th year Astrophysicist at the University of Cambridge, about to start my master’s year. I studied Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A-Level, achieving four A* grades, and I obtained 12 GCSEs all at grade 9. I remember my secondary school years fondly but I also often find myself thinking about how hard they were, which is one of the reasons why I’m so keen to help A Level and GCSE students achieve their full academic potential and perhaps even end up at their dream University. If you or your child feel like you could use some extra help preparing for GCSEs/A-Levels, or if you want to explore a particular interest by going beyond your syllabus, then I’m your man!

Having been through the Cambridge admissions process as an applicant, and also being involved from the other side in recent years, I’m uniquely placed to provide both academic tutoring and comprehensive mentoring for Oxbridge applications (e.g. personal statements, admissions tests and mock interviews). As a state school student, I didn’t have much support when applying, so I would love to be able to make the process easier for future applicants.

I’m also really into rowing, running, and science communication (all things I picked up while at University!)
Thanks for reading and I hope to hear from you soon! 🙂

Hi, I’m Tom. I have been tutoring for 5 years and I would be delighted to take you on as my next student! My own academic journey has been incredibly fulfilling, providing me with exciting opportunities and transforming my approach to learning. Through my studies, I developed a deep passion for my subjects, honed my problem-solving skills, and built the confidence to tackle complex challenges.

I find immense joy in guiding students on their own academic paths. The most rewarding aspect of tutoring for me is witnessing the growth in my students – seeing their understanding deepen, their grades improve, and their confidence soar. I firmly believe that the skills and mindsets developed through our work together will serve them well not just in their immediate academic pursuits, but in all their future endeavors. Whether you’re aiming for top grades, preparing for university admissions, or simply looking to deepen your understanding of maths and science, I’m here to support and inspire you every step of the way.

Hi, I’m a 4th year astrophysics student at Edinburgh University. I am passionate about creating a supportive learning environment as I am incredibly aware that everyone has different learning needs. I am patient and love trying to find new ways to solve problems to ensure everyone can understand, as I believe learning should be accessible to all. I am passionate about maths, physics and accounting and can tutor them all for any high school course, although I can teach national 5/GCSE chemistry and business management. I have worked with young people as a tutor for many years and I like to help them thrive and make them feel more confident in (and potentially even enjoy!) subjects they previously were not confident in. I was a straight A student so have tips for how to study effectively and how to be an effective exam sitter

My name is Jayden, I’m a Northerner who grew up in Barnsley and studies in Sheffield.

My first experience of higher education was at the University of Warwick, where I studied Mathematics & Physics simultaneously for a year, but I eventually realised that the strong theoretical basis of the degree was not leading me in the right direction, and decided to transfer to Sheffield (to study straight Physics).

I am deeply interested in science, as well as politics, philosophy and Christianity. I am passionate about continuous learning, and grown my own knowledge as an avid podcast-listener and reader (in particular I like Dr Jordan Peterson and Chris Williamson).

I have multiple part-time jobs, including acting as a student ambassador for my academic department, and working as a night porter.

I love to travel, with my favourite places so far being Poland and the Netherlands. I believe that the best way to concentrate learning and widen experience is traveling.

Hi, I am Sadia who is currently working hard to achieve her Master’s degree. I am a BSc graduate who has been working as a part-time tutor for about four years. I hope to become a lecturer and am interested in tutoring because it lets me gain suitable experience to achieve my dreams.
Tutoring children feels special because I feel I get to connect with them when they share their academic challenges with me and want to work with me to help them progress through academic journey. Over time, I have learnt to be able to hold communication between me and my clients and find new ways to help my students to achieve their academic goals. This has required me to constantly customise my teaching styles for different students and apply my current knowledge to providing a good service.
I hope this little summary gives you enough information to consider me as your/your children(s)’ tutor and let me prove myself that I can make a change in your academic lives.
