Hi! My name is Edie and I am looking forward to meeting you. I, on a personal level, understand the demands and pressures of school, and so I hope to make each tutee’s scholastic life easier by providing study support.
I am currently an undergraduate studying Psychology at Durham University, pursuing a career as an educational psychologist. Hence, I am always ready and happy to help others, especially with academics. I have prior experience helping my brother with his studies in IB and GCSE, alongside volunteering to tutor younger students (age 12-15) in Maths and Biology during my high school years. I have also lived in Asia, Europe and the UK, and hence have a broader understanding of the different cultural pressures associated with education.
In 2024, I graduated from the IB diploma programme in the top 10% of my cohort, so I am no stranger to a good work ethic and using effective study strategies to get top marks. I am also familiar with the high-pressure environment of examinations, and so am able to give advice on how to maintain a work-life balance based on experience if requested. My favourite subjects were Psychology, Biology and Literature, but I mostly miss the supportive educational environment — fostered by my peers and teachers — that enabled me to thrive in my adolescent years. I now strive to create the same warm and informative environment with my future tutees, where questions are not just welcomed but encouraged.

Hi there! I’m Paul, and I’m a double-major in Political Science and Economics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Having grown up in Hong Kong, whilst being french, to now moving to the U.S. for college, I love new adventures and experiencing new things.

With a strong academic foundation — 11 A*s in IGCSEs and 42/45 predicted in the IB — I know what it takes to excel in challenging curriculums. My experiences have taught me the importance of building a solid understanding of concepts before tackling advanced problems. Whether it’s mastering exam techniques or bridging knowledge gaps, I focus on building confidence and clarity to help students reach their highest potential.

Beyond academics, I enjoy running, watching formula one, and reading up on world affairs/politics/news.

Hi! I am a second year medical student at UCL and I am keen to help other aspiring medics with the application process. Having recently been involved in the application process, my understanding of what medical schools are interested in is current, which is important for interview preparation. Additionally, having recently taken the BMAT and UCAT, I know all the techniques and strategies to achieve a high score which got me interviews at Cambridge, UCL, Bristol and Birmingham. I also achieved a 43 in the IB this year, taking HL Maths AA, Biology, and Chemistry and am happy to tutor in all of those subjects. With experience tutoring students in Maths and Sciences for the past two years, I have gained a good insight into adapting my teaching techniques and explanations for different students, ensuring each student understands topics and ideas clearly and effectively.

I have been working as a professional tutor for nearly seven years. I graduated with a degree in HSPS from the University of Cambridge, and have been teaching a variety of humanities and English subjects ever since. I tutor English Language and Literature GCSE, Sociology A Level, Oxbridge admissions, as well as many other related-courses. Since 2020, I have adapted my work to a heavily online-based approach, though am available in person, particularly for summer school and teaching camps. Online, I utilise screensharing, PDF annotation, interactive whiteboards, shareable textbooks, past papers, and many other learning materials and worksheets that I have accumulated over the years, and in many cases technology that I have invested into, in order to make online tuition particularly engaging.

My name is Audrey, and I am currently an incoming second-year medical student at King’s College London. Originally from Indonesia, I relocated to London to pursue my studies in medicine. I’m genuinely passionate about tutoring—it has always been a fulfilling way for me to support and inspire others in their academic journeys. Gaining admission into medical school is no small feat, and I believe that having the right guidance and encouragement can make a significant difference, especially when navigating complex subjects or exam preparation. I strive to create a supportive, motivating environment that empowers students to reach their full potential.

Beyond my academic pursuits, I am an avid fencer and a dedicated sports enthusiast, with a keen interest in football (soccer), volleyball, and badminton. I also have a deep appreciation for the arts—particularly music, books (with a soft spot for romantic comedies), and film. I enjoy exploring new perspectives and connecting with others through shared passions, whether academic or personal.

Hi, my name is Mira, I completed the IB diploma with 43 / 45 points, and now I am a student at the University of Southampton!

I have been doing online tutoring for 2 years now, and have taught from a number of different UK exam boards, as well as the IB, which is an international certificate of education. I have worked with students of different ages, backgrounds, and levels of knowledge.

Although I am currently pursuing a degree in biology to reach my goal of working in food science and nutrition, I am very passionate about English as reading and writing continue to be passions of mine, hence why I offer to teach English literature and language 🙂 I also did philosophy at HL due to my interest in how philosophy lead us to science, and this ended up helping me tackle the Theory of Knowledge component of the IB a lot better compared to my peers (securing an A as my final result).
