About Me
I am a recent first class biomedicine graduate from the University of East Anglia, having attained 85% on my dissertation and only first class marks throughout my degree.
I have earned a place to commence Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) at the University of East Anglia in September 2025 (one of 30 individuals offered a place to study). Consequently, the medicine application process is at the forefront of my mind, and I look forward to sharing my knowledge and wisdom with prospective applicants!
I completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in 2022, having studied Biology, Chemistry and English at Higher Level. At age 18, I moved to the UK to pursue a Bachelors in Biomedicine at the University of East Anglia.
Now, at age 21, I look forward to commencing Graduate Entry Medicine and pursuing my career aspirations.
My pass-times include skiing, mountaineering and playing piano!
My teaching style
Chemistry and Biology Tutoring: My teaching style is highly student-centered and adaptive. I tailor my approach to each student’s unique learning needs and pace, ensuring they feel supported and confident. I use active recall techniques to reinforce memory and encourage long-term retention, especially in chemistry and biology revision. Diagrams and drawings are central to my sessions, as they help visualize complex processes and structures. I also incorporate mnemonic devices to make memorization more effective and engaging. To build exam readiness, I employ official past papers and guide students through question analysis and structured responses, helping them apply knowledge strategically under exam conditions.
Medicine Interview Preparation: We will work through a folder of compiled interview questions and tips, ensuring you feel confident and deliver a natural and impressive interview. After conducting preliminary groundwork, we will then carry out regular mock interviews and feedback sessions.
UCAT tutoring: I am here to support you through UCAT preparation, meeting you where you are in your preparation journey. Having achieved a score of 860 in VR, I feel equipped to bolster students’ scores in this challenging subset.
My past experience
I have over 5 years of tutoring experience (both online and in person). I have focused on tutoring A Level and IB students in Biology, Chemistry and English.
Having recently successfully obtained a place to study Graduate Entry Medicine at the University of East Anglia, I am eager to share my personal statement and medicine interview advice with prospective students.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest recent achievements is securing a place on a Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) programme, despite facing a major setback. I was involved in a road traffic accident during my application process—a challenging time that could have impacted my academic performance. However, I remained focused, continued to work hard, and never lost sight of my goal. This experience reinforced my resilience and commitment to pursuing a career in medicine, even under difficult circumstances!
