As a current PhD student in English at the University of Cambridge, with a solid academic background including a BA in Comparative Literature from QMUL and a Mst in English Literature (1830-1914), I am thrilled to offer my expertise and guidance in English language and literature, creative writing, Italian, and essay skills, as well as help with university admissions.
I am bilingual, fluent in Italian and English, and since 2016, I have been tutoring students aged 10 to 19 in various subjects. Notably, I have assisted four students in securing MSt/MPhil offers from Oxbridge in humanities subjects and supported many others in gaining admission to prestigious institutions within the Russell Group.

I’m Isaac, a PhD researcher in Statistics and Machine Learning at Imperial College London and Oxford University, with a First-Class MMath from Durham University. My academic journey includes a background in theoretical mathematics like geometry and algebra, an international exchange at Bologna University where I developed fluency in Italian, and a more recent focus on applied machine learning and statistics. I’ve also spent time in industry as a technical intern at IBM and lead data scientist at a medtech start-up.

I am a 4th year medical student at Imperial College, currently intercalating in cardiovascular sciences. My passion for teaching stems from my own journey through medicine, and I have dedicated myself to researching evidence-based techniques for effective learning and revision. This allows me to tailor sessions to the idiosyncratic needs of each student.
With over 100 hours of tutoring experience, I strive to aid all students from GCSE to university admissions. Looking specifically at medicine, I have run multiple seminars and 1:1 sessions on interview practice and mocks for medicine applications, using an original curriculum I developed alongside admissions staff.

I am a recent graduate of the University of Oxford, with a BA in Modern Languages (Italian and Spanish). Prior to attending The Queen’s College, Oxford, I achieved A* in Spanish, A* in Art and Design, and A in English Literature at A Level. Over the course of my degree I acted as Student Ambassador and Equalities Officer, and was the President of the Oxford University Cheerleading Squad.

With a wide variety of experience in teaching in a classroom as well as in a one-to-one environment, I am well-placed to provide tuition at Key Stage 2 – 5. I am up to date on examination syllabi and am confident in making my students aware of the requirements for achieving top marks. I am a current 2nd year Psychology student, I am a mature student who studies part time whilst also working full time as an actor and drummer. I have a deep interest in the works of Ernst Jünger and Max Frisch, and gladly discuss German post-war (WWI & WWII) literature with my students. I have an affinity to works of German poetry and am very taken by the emotionalism that originated from the ‘Sturm und Drang’ movement of the late 18th Century.

In 2014, Rita Pierson’s TED Talk, “Every Kid Needs a Champion,” had a profound impact on me. Her insights resonated deeply with my educational values and reinforced the importance of fostering strong, meaningful relationships and ensuring all students have access to an enriching curriculum and an opportunity to succeed. This belief is personal to me. Removing anxieties and barriers to learning has become my core mission—whether supporting students or collaborating with colleagues. Celebrating young people’s individual achievements was the driving force behind my decision to become a teacher and subsequently a specialist tutor.
