Hi! I’ve just graduated from the University of Oxford with a first class degree in Biology (integrated masters). My masters project was on antibiotic resistance, but I’ve studied and taught all types of biology, ranging from plant biology, evolutionary biology to cell biology.
While I thoroughly enjoyed my degree, I found it academically challenging. However, it taught me valuable lessons in working efficiently and managing my time effectively, enabling me to strike a better balance between work and taking breaks.
In my free time, I love to play both play football (big Arsenal fan heads up!), netball, guitar, and piano. I also love to read, with my favourite genre being historical fiction. I am also very sociable and find that I particularly enjoy spending time with others. I enjoy creating a fun and encouraging learning environment, which I find benefits both myself and students, helping us make the most out of each lesson.
Hello, my name is Chidera and I am a second year psychology student. Music has always been my biggest passion besides psychology and I come from a musical background. I started my musical journey aged 7 when I started learning classical guitar. When I was 10 I started taking clarinet lessons in a class-wide program, but was the only student to continue for the rest of primary school. I also had piano lessons for 4 years. I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of musical ensembles since primary school, and I am currently part of my university’s orchestra and concert band, as well as my home city’s youth orchestra. During my first year I auditioned for and was subsequently awarded a scholarship for my music lessons. I am very interested in teaching as I believe through my years being a student myself I have the experience of many methods of teaching, and I would love the opportunity to enrich someone else’s life as music has done mine.
Hello, I am Hongseo Choi, a 3rd-year medical student at the University of Birmingham. I studied in South Korea for primary school and in Cambodia for my secondary school. I prepared my application to study medicine in the UK alone in a country where advice and help were not available. Moreover, competition for admission to medicine for international students is way higher than the UK students due to limited places available in each institution. This becomes very clear if one has had a chance to look at the medical school’s admission statistics. Nevertheless, I have been through a highly competitive process and was successful; therefore, I am certain that I can help prospective medical students. I have successfully scored overall band 8 on the IELTS, top 4% on the UCAT, and top 15% on the BMAT. I am looking forward to sharing my top tips and strategies with the students who need them.

Hello! My name is Amelia and I am a current student at the University of Sheffield studying Biomedical Science. So far I have achieved a first class with every exam I’ve taken here and I got A*, A*, A at A level. I feel with my experience studying for, and taking exams I can give solid advice and help you smash your (or your child’s) exams too! At A level I took Biology, Modern History and Music so I have proficiency in a wide range of subjects. I’ve always been passionate about learning (that’s why I’m at university!) and throughout high school and sixth form I helped younger students with reading, and Biology at A level. I love helping younger students – passing on my knowledge and advice then seeing the results is really rewarding!
I am a very friendly person, with a lot of patience and a bubbly personality. It would be my absolute pleasure to tutor you and help you succeed in your exams!
