Hi there! My name is Grace. In 2023, I finished a French Literature MSt at Keble College, Oxford, for which I received a Distinction. I also completed a History and French BA for my undergraduate at Somerville College, Oxford and got a First Class. I’ve been tutoring for seven years now so I have lots of experience, and I really enjoy being able to help students wherever I can. Throughout my time in education, I always put my academic studies first, and I know how important it is to do your best in exams; I find it extremely rewarding when I can help students to achieve this. Having got all A*s in GCSE and A-Level, and successfully passed through Oxford’s rigorous admissions process, I know first-hand what is required to do well at all of these stages. I also really enjoy teaching students and hope that my enthusiasm will make their sessions enjoyable!

I recently graduated with a Masters in Global and Imperial History from the University of Oxford in June 2023 after having completed my Bachelors in History from Oxford in June 2022. At university, I was involved with various student societies, most recently having completed my term as Editor-in-Chief of the Oxford Review of Books. Currently on a gap year, I am looking forward to tutoring students interested in academic study at Oxford or Cambridge, with a particular focus on the Humanities. I would love to hear from students who require extra help with school or academic work. Equally, I would be happy to provide ‘liberal arts’ tutoring for students interested in the Humanities that goes beyond the limits of a school curriculum and introduces them to the vast diversity of subjects and skills that the Humanities has to offer. This knowledge can be especially useful for students while writing EPQs or other forms of coursework as well as providing a good foundation before embarking on undergraduate study.

Dr Lewis Ebert holds a BA in German and Philosophy, an MPhil in Asian History, and a PhD in History, all from the University of Oxford. Now in his seventh year at Oxford, he was awarded a scholarship in his first year at St Hilda’s College and has since built a strong academic and tutoring career. With over 50 hours of tutoring experience, Lewis has successfully guided many students from their first steps in the application process through to their first day at Oxford or Cambridge. His support covers every stage, including admissions strategy, personal statements, interview preparation, and transition into the intensity of Michaelmas term.

Lewis offers tutoring in modern languages, English, philosophy, history, and Asian and Middle Eastern languages. A passionate linguist and teacher, he particularly enjoys helping students refine their ideas and sharpen their confidence for interviews. Hi! I’m Theo, a recent 2025 graduate from Trinity College, Cambridge, reading MML and AMES (Arabic and French). I’m a native French speaker, and I’ll be continuing at Cambridge next year with an MPhil in Modern and Medieval Languages, focusing on Francophone and Arabic thought.

Before university, I was a Major Academic Scholar at Merchant Taylors’ School, where I achieved D1 (A*) in French and Spanish, D2 (A*) in History, and an A* in my Extended Project Qualification. Since then, I’ve studied across the Francophone and Arab worlds, including terms at HEC Paris, the Sorbonne, and the University of Tunis, exploring politics, literature and law through both French and Arabic.

At Cambridge, I have consistently achieved high First-class marks in language and literature papers, including the top university-wide result in the final-year French oral examination. Outside of academics, I was a Choral Scholar at Trinity and helped lead the Trinity College Politics Society, where I hosted high-profile speakers such as Matt Hancock and Baroness Morgan—developing strong communication skills and a passion for mentoring students in public-speaking and interview contexts.

I’ve tutored students in French, Spanish, History and Politics since 2022 and have helped prepare Oxbridge candidates for MML and AMES—7 of my 8 tutees have received conditional offers. I specialise in breaking down complex literary and historical material, building student confidence, and helping ambitious pupils meet their academic goals.

Hello there, I’m Omar. I am a final-year History student at Corpus Christi College, University of Cambridge. I took Mathematics, History, English Literature and Philosophy at A-Level / Pre-U, and achieved four A* or equivalent. I ranked within the top 10% of my cohort at Cambridge across both my first and second years. I have been awarded travel grants by my college to pursue my historical studies further afield, most recently in Milan, Italy. I have tutored for many years in a variety of formats, including on a virtual platform during the pandemic, but also in-person in the classroom. I have also provided Oxbridge-specific coaching for students in the past, including Personal Statement preparation, Interview coaching and HAT/HAA work. Beyond my academic commitments, I am a singer in my college’s chapel choir.
