Hello! My name is Hikari.
I have four years of overall teaching experience. After completing my master’s degree, I aspire to become a full-time teacher. During this time, I have taught a wide range of courses, including GCSE Economics, GCSE Business Studies, A/level Economics, A/level Business Studies, IELTS, phonics, Eiken, Business English, and conversation.
As soon as I graduated from school, many students approached me to tutor them in Economics and business studies. I then began tutoring A/Level and O/Level Economics and Business Studies. All of the students I’ve taught so far have excelled in their Edexcel and Cambridge exams. Last year, one of my students won the subject prize.
During my academic journey, I have had the opportunity to study Economics at both the GCSE and A-Level levels, following the curriculum offered by prestigious examination boards such as Cambridge and Edexcel. I enjoy teaching Business Studies mainly. My experience in Economics has been enriching and insightful, allowing me to develop a solid understanding of fundamental economic principles and concepts. I am excited to share my knowledge and expertise as a tutor. With a passion for teaching and a strong grasp of economic principles, I am well-equipped to guide students through the complexities of the subject. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into easily digestible parts, providing real-world examples to enhance understanding, and fostering critical thinking skills. I am dedicated to creating a supportive learning environment that encourages active participation and growth. By choosing me as their Economics tutor, students can expect engaging lessons, personalized attention, and the tools necessary to excel in their exams and develop a deep appreciation for the subject.
I worked as a full-time teacher at a reputable international school. In addition to full-time teaching, I spent nearly two years teaching volunteers, primarily Japanese students residing in Japan, as well as overseas communication and other skills. I have also earned three diplomas to provide my students with the greatest education possible. I continued to become a TEFL/TESOL certified teacher. Teaching has become my favorite place to share my knowledge and assist students in their growth.

Hi there! My name is Grace and I have just finished a French Literature MSt at Keble College, Oxford, for which I received a Distinction. I also completed
a History and French BA for my undergraduate at Somerville College, Oxford and got a First Class. I’ve been tutoring for several years now so I have lots of experience, and I really enjoy being able to help students wherever I can. I’ve always put my academic studies first, and I know how important it is to do your best in exams; I find it extremely rewarding when I can help students to achieve this. Having got all A*s in GCSE and A-Level, and successfully passed through Oxford’s rigorous admissions process, I know first-hand what is required to do well at all of these stages. I also really enjoy teaching students and hope that my enthusiasm will make their sessions enjoyable – I’ve always seen myself becoming a teacher, and my career plan is to become a university lecturer!

I currently work in a school environment, so I’m DBS checked and safeguarding trained.

Hello ! I am a multinational (Spanish and British) second year architecture student, currently at Cambridge University, who comes equipped with a highly interdisciplinary background and passion for learning new skills. My interests within architecture are currently enormously varied because the subject itself is so vast! , but primarily lie in museum design and curation, sustainability and bamboo construction, and theoretical discourse on phenomenology and space.

Having been panel interviewed and successful for a number of committee roles and achievements at different scales (Head Girl, university applications… as well as current internship interviews) I am well versed in interview technique and experience. I am able to provide general Oxbridge interview/ mock interviews for humanities subjects as there is a substantial overlap with what I study in my course (particularly geography, history, HSPS, archeology). I specialise in architecture, and have made multiple professional portfolios (and continuously make one every term for my degree), with an eye for detail, and so as well as mock interviews and general advice, I will happily advise in this key area.

I did five A levels, six AS levels, so have been through pretty much most academic scenarios and can provide tips for efficient revision, and efficient time management, in the similar way that worked for me.

My highly interdisciplinary architecture degree also means I am trained in professional presentation skills (persuasive presenting of work at least four times every week to a crowd), graphic skills in rendering, photography and videography, and confidence in all Adobe software. Analytical, academic essays are also a substantial part of the course and I further hone my writing skills writing university articles for the Cambridge Language Collective, Climate Journals and producing graphics for an Arts Magazine.

Hi, I’m Fran! I am a postgraduate student at UCL, studying for MSc Science Technology and Society, which I hope to finish in 2024. In 2022, I graduated with a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, where I specialised in Materials Science in my final year. I’m super passionate about science, and love science communication and policy-making. In my spare time, I enjoy rock-climbing, reading, board games, and music.
I have been tutoring privately for around 5 years now, and I love it! I enjoy spreading my passion for science and love discussing new and interesting topics and issues in science with my students. I think it’s really important to engage children and young people with science, to encourage the next generation of medics, mathematicians, scientists, and engineers.

My name is Abbey, I’m a 1st Year Vet Med student in the Graduate Entry programme at the University of Edinburgh. Before this degree, I completed my BSc in Veterinary Biosciences and an MRes of Parasite Control at Aberystwyth University.

Outside the classroom, I am very active, acting as captain of the vet school’s badminton team that competes monthly in the local league with weekly training. I have been involved in several extracurricular activities since secondary school, ranging from Model United Nations, organising blood drives, to being the managing editor of the school newspaper just to name a few! I am Uday Modhwadia, a recent graduate of the prestigious University of Cambridge. My academic journey at Cambridge has equipped me with a solid foundation in Economic Geography and urbanism, which I am eager to apply in a professional capacity. I’m Daniel, a 4th year UCL medical student. For the past 6 years I have perfected my skills as a tutor through attending many teaching courses both within military organisations and civilian, so that I can help others get what they want through the subjects I provide services in. Having come from a poor state school and being the only person to apply for medicine in my school, I understand how tough the process is, especially with no help. That is why I want to deliver high quality, efficient tutoring to help others achieve their full potential and act as a mentor/guide so that no questions are left unanswered and students have a clear view on how to achieve their goals. I work very systematically starting looking at all topics generally and assessing abilities then honing in on students weaknesses whilst pushing them in all over topics so they don’t fall behind, leaving no stones unturned and honing on students weaknesses and turning them into strengths. My purpose it to motivate students, teach them topics they struggle to understand and analysing their patterns of answering to correct logic teaching them skills so they can succeed in any exam or interview they attend.

Here is a review that best describes the process:
”Daniel has an amazing attention to detail. He tutored me for my BMAT exams, and his experience in this area was both extensive and insightful. We spent a lot of time on the tricky section 3 essay questions, where he showed his wealth of knowledge on multiple question topics and allowed me to garner the confidence I needed to feel good about my essay answer in the exam.As well as being a superb educator, he is also an extremely amiable person, rich in thoughtfulness and went out of his way to accommodate my timetable as much as he could, despite his own busy schedule. We also had good talks about related topics, about university in the UK, about social life in his university, all things that set my mind at ease and made me very comfortable about the BMAT process. I never felt alone through what is, admittedly, quite an arduous process. While my exam is done, I have high hopes of getting interviews from the courses I chose. I look forward then to Daniel’s help once again, to help me hone my interview skills. I feel very fortunate to have met with Daniel; he has been inspirational and to me and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for help with their studies.”

My son loves his reading tutor! The tutor took the time to get to know him and chose reading material that he would be interested in. He gets 'homework' to do in between lessons but he finds it so fun (the tutor recommended some online apps) that he's always happy to do it!

I've been so impressed with the services of Study Mind. From picking a tutor for my daughter, having a trial lesson to make sure she liked them and then the reading tuition itself, the process has been smooth and first class! My daughter really looks forward to her reading lessons with her tutor and I appreciate the progress updates I get so I can also support her at home.
