Hi my name is Vishal! I am a graduate medic at University of Swansea having finished my undergrad in Physics and Philosophy. As someone who’s applied for medicine 3 times, I can only empathise towards the difficulties that lie in the way of achieving that goal of become doctor, and its my aim to help you get there!

Having taken the GAMSAT, UCAT and IMAT, I have a good understanding of how the aptitude tests used in medicine work and what is expected. Having already taken the UCAT and IMAT previously, I was able to apply my knowledge to get in the top 7% of all GAMSAT applicants in my first attempt of sitting the exam.

Aside from aptitude tests, I also tutor GCSE to A level Maths and Physics, having completed a joint physics degree I have experienced a lot of what maths and physics can throw at you and aim to help students achieve the grade that they want. Physics and Maths were not always easy for me, I really struggled at it while I was in school but after implementing certain techniques I went from someone getting Cs at A level to getting a first in almost every assessed physics module at uni.

My name is Hector, and I am a third-year medical student at Swansea University, where I secured a place on the highly competitive Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) programme. I graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Medical Science), achieving a distinction average. I know first-hand how daunting the journey to medical school can be, from perfecting personal statements to conquering the GAMSAT and excelling in medical interviews.

I have extensive experience teaching and mentoring students, currently working as a Senior Teaching Assistant in Anatomy at Swansea University. In this role, I lead engaging sessions for undergraduates and postgraduates, helping them grasp complex concepts and build confidence. Beyond my university role, I have provided tailored academic support through a private tutoring company, specialising in essay proofreading and personal statement coaching.

I am currently a dental student at Kings College London. I am much aware of how difficult it is to gain a place at medical and dental schools with many loopholes such as admission exams, personal statement, work experience, interviews as well as A levels! My experience of working with admission tutors on interview panels has given me insight into this process and what they are looking for. I’m Saad, a graduate medical student at St George’s University, currently in my fourth year (the university technically counts it as 4/5, since my graduate entry combined the first two years into one). I originally studied Accounting and Finance, so I know first-hand how challenging it can feel to leap into medicine from a completely different background.

At one point, I didn’t think it would even be possible, but with years of persistence, hard work, and determination, I was able to achieve my dream. Now, I want to help others who are aiming for the same goal, no matter their academic background. If you have the passion and drive for medicine, I believe it is possible and I want to help you get there.

I can provide guidance with the entire medical school application process, from writing a strong personal statement, to preparing for entry exams such as the UCAT and GAMSAT (both of which I sat myself), and finally interview preparation. Having been through it all, I know how overwhelming the process can feel, but with the right approach and support it becomes much more manageable.
Writing has always been a strong suit of mine, and it played a big part in my own success. I scored highly in the GAMSAT writing section, which I know many applicants struggle with, and I’d be keen to share the techniques and strategies that worked for me.

Alongside medicine, my accounting degree gave me a strong foundation in mathematics, a subject I’ve always enjoyed and have experience teaching in the past. I’ve also had a long-standing interest in psychology and religious studies, both of which I’d be confident teaching as well as the sciences.
