Nandini
About Me
Hi! I’m Nandini, a first-year Graduate Entry Medicine student at Swansea University, having completed a BSc in Biomedical Science from the University of Sussex with a 2:1. I applied to medicine through the graduate route, so I’ve been through UCAT, GAMSAT, CASPer, and multiple interviews, and I know how overwhelming the process can feel. I received offers from Swansea, ScotGEM, and Cumbria (Imperial pathway), and I’m passionate about helping others navigate the admissions process confidently and successfully. I also mentored students during my undergraduate degree and supported several with university applications, personal statements, and exam prep. Whether you need help understanding exams tips and tricks or the concepts they entail or preparing for interviews, I aim to provide structured, supportive sessions that are tailored to your goals. I’m here to help you achieve your full potential.
My teaching style
My teaching style is friendly, clear, and structured. I tailor each session to the student’s goals, whether that’s mastering content, improving confidence, or refining answers for interviews and admissions tests. I break down complex topics into digestible parts, and always aim to build deep understanding rather than surface-level memorisation. I’m also happy to share strategies that worked for me when applying to medicine and studying biomedical science.
My past experience
Yes ,I’ve been tutoring since Year 13, supporting students of all levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths. I’ve worked with GCSE and A-Level students through both one-to-one sessions and small group teaching, giving me a broad range of experience with different learning styles and abilities. During my time at university, I also mentored first-year Biomedical Science students and supported peers applying for medicine with interview and admissions test preparation. Across all my tutoring, I focus on building confidence, tailoring sessions to individual needs, and helping students develop a deeper understanding of core concepts.
My Proudest Achievements
Explained the Krebs cycle without anyone crying, Balanced med school interviews and Netflix (successfully!), Survived GAMSAT with dignity intact, Helped students believe they actually like chemistry, Turned “I hate maths” into “That actually makes sense!”
