My name is Hector Sinclair, and I am a second-year medical student at Swansea University, where I secured a place on the highly competitive Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) programme. I graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Medical Science), achieving a distinction average. I know first-hand how daunting the journey to medical school can be, from perfecting personal statements to conquering the GAMSAT and excelling in medical interviews.

I have extensive experience teaching and mentoring students, currently working as a Senior Teaching Assistant in Anatomy at Swansea University. In this role, I lead engaging sessions for undergraduates and postgraduates, helping them grasp complex concepts and build confidence. Beyond my university role, I have provided tailored academic support through a private tutoring company, specialising in essay proofreading and personal statement coaching.

Hi my name is Simran. I am a 3 year qualified Physician Associate with experience in primary care. I have helped people who struggle to pass their final year University exams, both OSCES and MCQs as well as pass the national exams with flying colors after they’ve failed with no assistence. My undergraduate degree was in Human Biology so I am also fantastic at both chemistry and biology too. I can teach English as it is my first language, and also GCSE maths. My name is Silas and I am a newly qualified Resident Doctor following the completion of my Medical Degree at the University of Sheffield. I graduated with honours and received the Mark Gregory Baker as the top student in my year.

Prior to studying Medicine, I gained a First Class Degree in Political Science and International Relations at the University of Birmingham; my degree allowed me to apply to Undergraduate Medicine as a graduate. I can offer a unique perspective for students looking for alternate routes into Medicine and on the importance placed on varied interests by Medical Schools across the country.

As a Sheffield Medical student, I am the President of the Sheffield Emergency Medicine Society and am a member of medical societies such as Sheffield Friends of MSF and Wilderness Medicine. I am also a Community First Responder which involves responding to emergencies in the area with lifesaving equipment before the ambulance arrives. My specific areas of interest within Medicine are: Emergency Medicine, Wilderness Medicine, Pre-Hospital Medicine, Humanitarian Medicine, and Disaster Medicine.

In terms of the city of Sheffield, I was born and raised here therefore I feel that I can answer any questions that students have about the city, the lifestyle, and the surrounding area which I know is a point of emphasis from Sheffield during the interview process.
