Hi my name is Julie, and I’m a first year medical student at Cambridge University. I’m an international student from Korea, but I attended secondary school and sixth form in the UK. I went to Westminster school for sixth form, and studied Maths (OCR), Biology (CIE), Chemistry (Pre-U) and Physics (Pre-U). I also completed an EPQ.

I’ve tutored primary school children before for 11+, and I’ve helped some of my medicine/natural sciences friends prepare for their university entrance interviews as well. I strongly believe that you don’t have to be super smart to study medicine- you just need to put the work in (whilst having a social life!)

I remember year 13 being a slightly stressful time because of UCAS applications, so I want to do my best to help you prepare for interviews/exams, so you can show your potential.

Darcy Dixon graduated from the University of Oxford in 2022 with a High 2.1 and several first class papers.

In Oxford, Darcy was an access rep for her JCR, was the Equity rep for Oxford Drama Society, and the Outreach rep for ACS. She sang at Keble College and was an Open Day rep for the Theology Faculty. Darcy went to St Peters studying the Joint honours degree Philosophy and Theology. Darcy was in the Top 100 Undergraduates for Future Leaders Magazine.

Darcy has done a TEDx talk on the power of change and immediate action. Darcy is also the Vice Chair of the Black Head Students Network, an organisation committed to propelling Black youth leadership within schools. Currently, Darcy is Resident Creative at City University of London, in Islington.

My name is Hector Crosbie, a penultimate-year medical student at the University of Edinburgh, with a deep commitment to education and supporting aspiring medical students. Hello! My name is Emily and I am a recent graduate of the University of Oxford, where I read Geography and was awarded an academic scholarship. I am currently studying for a law conversion and will shortly commence a training contract at a magic circle law firm.

I began offering tuition shortly after I completed my A-level studies at Godolphin &
Latymer, where I achieved A*s in Mathematics, Geography, French, Spanish and in an EPQ. Since then I have gained experience supporting primary students working towards 11+ and Common Entrance exams, worked with students preparing for their GCSE and A-level exams, including revision and consolidation work throughout the year as well as exam paper practice and final preparation, and helping students with university applications and transfer work.
