About Me
Hi everyone,
My name is Joe, I am a PPE student at Somerville College.
I was educated at a South London state school and took a gap year before Oxford to work at a policy think tank, which advised the government on economic policy.
The pandemic began in my final year of sixth-form and so I did not sit my A-Level exams in person. However, knowing that grades were inaccurate that year, Oxford placed more emphasis on their own admissions process so scoring highly in the TSA was more important than ever. I focused on improving my score and brought myself up from the mid 60s to a 74.1 which is considered ‘exceptional’.
I can offer you focused support on the TSA or any other quantitative subjects and provide you with some strategies to deal with those tricky questions that are tripping you up.
Prepping for the TSA was a difficult process, but I learnt to enjoy it and with a bit of guidance you will too!
My teaching style
Focus on TSA Section 1 as this is where one tends to improve the most with tuition.
By analysing your previous results I will ascertain the styles of questions that you struggle most with and suggest techniques and strategies to help you with these.
My Proudest Achievements
Presidency of the Oxford Stubbs Society for Defence and Foreign Affairs
