4About Me
I’m Henry, a 3rd year engineering student at Cambridge undertaking the Manufacturing Engineering Tripos. I have helped many students with Oxbridge applications with a high success rate. Within this I have provided sessions on PAT/ ENGAA (now ESAT) and admissions interviews. I have also spoken at my schools next steps evening to promote Oxbridge and encourage students to apply. Furthermore, I met with a workshop group where I critiquer and improved their personal statements to optimise for Oxbridge admissions tutors, every year I help roughly 5 students through the entire STEM Oxbridge application process. I love practicing interviews with students and building their confidence in this strange challenge. Currently, I am working at a first class level in my degree and undertaking a masters next year.
My teaching style
My teaching style is supportive and fun. Oxbridge is all about being able to talk passionately about your subject, so an open low pressure environment is key. I try to follow the interests of my tutees, allowing them to develop their interests in specific areas.
My past experience
I have been tutoring A Level Maths since I was in Year 13, 4 years now.
My Proudest Achievements
Top 1000 Senior Maths Challenge: in Year 12 I achieved a very high score in the UKMT SMC, which meant I was invited to compete in the British Mathematical Olympiad 1.
