5About Me
Hi! My name is Rebecca (or Becca) and I am a first year Medical student at Warwick University.
My background is in Medical Sciences, with a slight detour into tech with a Masters in Software Engineering. During my Medical Sciences degree, in my final year I was a co-president of the Medical Preparation Society, helping the younger years with content, as well as providing GAMSAT exam preparation and interview help.
Due to this, I am well versed in applications, aptitude testing, and especially interviews. I have interviewed in the past for Nursing (long story) and Medicine, and hold a 100% offer rate following my interviews, which I am very proud of. If you choose me as your tutor in your Medicine journey, I will do my best to help to push you in the right direction! I can’t give you all the answers, but I can help you to pick apart exactly what makes YOU the perfect candidate, and the correct choice as an up-and-coming Doctor.
My teaching style
I believe that you (the student) have all the answers when it comes to interview prep, since the most important thing is you! My job is to help to reframe, clarify, and communicate why your traits are needed in this years cohort!
I believe in the student taking the reigns, although I am happy with a collaborative space. Never come to my sessions expecting to be lectured, for that I am not your girl.
My past experience
I am a prior Medical Preparation Society President from my undergraduate degree in Medical Sciences. During this course we tutored subjects from the course itself, as well as providing revision sessions and materials for the GAMSAT and organising mock interviews for the cohort.
My Proudest Achievements
Getting into Medicine is up there for sure! Otherwise, I am proud of my educational background and prior technical knowledge. In my Masters I worked with an NHS trust to create a prototype app for patients and clinicians under a certain specialty. This was incredibly rewarding and something I am proud to have been involved with.
