5About Me
Hi. I’m Muskaan and I am a 4th year medical student at UEA. I have also done an undergraduate degree in BioMedical Sciences from King’s College London. I really enjoy medicine and love helping my peers learn along with me. I’m in an international student from India that has been living in the UK for the past 7 years. I did all of my schooling in Mumbai and did my IGCSEs followed by the International Baccalaureate diploma programme (IBDP). I have always enjoyed the sciences but also liked literature and history. Playing sports have also been vital to me and I currently swim and play rugby. I believe studying medicine is a good mix of studying hard and studying smart. Finding adequate resources and learning styles that are well suited to you are of importance and I hope to help student’s find what works for them via the Medic Mind platform.
My teaching style
I think it’s important to have an interactive teaching experience. I like to get to know the person that I am tutoring. It allows us to set concrete goals and discuss ways that work best to help you learn efficiently.
My past experience
Yes I have taught in the past. I was a peer assisted learning leader while I was studying at King’ and taught the years below. I am also currently undertaking a course on developing teaching skills for clinical education. I hope this will help me further hone my teaching skills and incorporate scientifically backed skills into my teaching routine.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement would be getting through the period right before my UCAT. Due to issues with housing I was forced to move out of my accommodation into a hotel. However, with hard work (and many packet’s of Ben’s rice) I made it through and was very happy with my score.
